Life was normal. Average. Boring. I'm not ungrateful however life could be so much more and I wanted to live mine to the fullest. That's probarely why by the time I was nine years old I had already broken my right arm three times, my left twice and my right leg once. I was often told i was a rather bright nine year old in the academic side of things however apparantly i could be quite 'reckless' and 'not think things through' which of course is complete and utter rubbish.

Every thing when it was first done was seen as being ridiculous for example Albert Einstein possibly the cleverest man in existance was shunned and thought of as an idiot just bacause he couldnt speak until he was four years old and because his ideas were the first of their kind.

I like to believe that I was just testing out histories scientific and not so scientific theories. For instance I was only testing gravity when i had jumped off that four foot high wall and I was only seeing if like Icarus I could fly when I had jumped from the top of the cherry tree (It was a small tree but then i was smaller too.)            I suppose I should have finished reading the myth before I jumped however we did gain similar results - we both fell, luckily in my case not to my death.

I used to love pretending to be a spy: creeping around the house, climbing up the door frames and listening into my mum and dad's conversations. I was just an innocent child playing an innocent game but then one day while I was eavesdropping on a conversation I over heard something I definitely shouldn't have. I heard someone threatening my mum, MY MUM! Well being the hot headed 10 year old I now was I rushed in to attack whoever it was screaming my battle cry at the top of my lungs!
As soon as I entered the room my yell subsided and my anger turned to confusion. There in the room stood my mum and dad with a knife to each other's throats...

They both turned to stare at their intruder ready to fight only to see little me breaking down into tears "please don't kill each other, I love you both I...I...I need you both" I sobbed choking on my words.
They both dropped their knives immediately and ran to my side and squashed me into a big confusing family hug. "we should have told you from the start" mum whispered.
"We will explain everything" dad promised. I was too confused to ask any questions or to think clearly so pathetically all I said was "Ok."

Mum walked over to the bookcase and ran her delicate fingers over the books spines until she came to my favourite, Shadow by Michael Morpurgo. She then pulled on the top corner of the book and the strangest thing happened. There was a quiet but definite click like a key in a lock. Suddenly, the bookcase flung aside to reveal a hidden room. My mouth dropped to the floor and my eyes grew wide with anticipation, mum and dad walked forward into the place that the bookcase had hidden. I felt my heart beat becoming increasingly quicker and adrenaline surging through my veins.my mum then turned round "Well are you coming?" She said with pride in her voice. I looked up as a big grin took over my face and scrambled after her and dad into the mysterious, hidden room.
