Natsu X Reader

Hey guys~! So lately I've gotten back into Fairy tail and decided, hey, why not write a fan fiction for you guys? Anyways, here it goes I guess.

Chapter 1

3rd Person POV

"Shit! Shit! Shit! Lucy I'm so sorry!" Natsu cried out, tears storming down his face, his dragon scales showing. He held onto a limp body of a female. Her left side burned badly and her hair scorched. "L-Lucy, you have to come back! Please!"

Grey and Erza watched in disbelief, Erza's left leg stuff under a pile of ruble, to weak to remove it all. Grey leaned on the wall, sitting. He was in too much pain to rush over to Lucy and Natsu. Happy was hanging by the tail off a rope coming from the ceiling, his body limp and cold. "H-Happy, Lucy... E-Everyone... I'm so sorry- I didn't mean for this to happen..." Natsu said weakly as guild members began to rush into the ruins of the building.

"N-Natsu! Lucy, Grey! E-Erza... What happened here?! Where's Happy and all the others?!" Mirajane asked frantically, she ran over to Natsu and Lucy. Grey pointed at the ceiling to where Happy was as other guild members began helping them all up. Natsu remained silent, his fires dying out. He left Lucy to Mirajane and stood up. He walked over to Erza and lifted the rubble, pulling her out. He started jumping from wall to wall and picked up happy as they fell back to the ground. Natsu's pink hair covering his face.

"This is all my fault." Natsu said, his voice quiet. He laid Happy next to Lucy. "They're dead and it's all my fault. I'm no dragon slayer- I'm a human slayer.."

"Shut it Flame-Brain! N-None of this is your fault! S-Stop talking nonsense!" Grey yelled, leaning on Levy.

"He's right Natsu, what ever happened here wasn't your fault." Levy replied. Natsu gave her a death glance.

"You weren't even here."

Levy opened her mouth to speak but closed it knowing nothing anyone said right now would change his mind. Natsu headed out and started walking back to the guild quietly, tears streaming from his face again.

"Lucy... Happy.. I'll never forgive myself for this."

4 Years Later

(Y/N) POV.

I stretched once more before rushing out of my house. Today was the day. The day I would be joining Fairy Tail! I was so excited as I giggled in glee. "This is the start of a new adventure! I'm sure of it!" I sped up my pace, wanting to get there as soon as I could. My (h/c) hair followed behind me in the wind as I ran, some hair covering my (e/c) eyes.

After a while of running I got to the guild only to see a chair crashing through a window. I ducked quickly, it barely scrapped me. "Sounds like my kind of party." I giggled at myself lightly as I banged on the door. I heard everything go silent as a woman with red hair and armor opened the door.

Erza Scarlet- The queen of the fairies.

I bowed quickly. "H-Hello Ma'am. I'm (y/n) and I wish to join Fairy Tail." I stood back up and looked her directly in the eyes. I could see people looking over her to see who I was. I will admit, I was short. Only 4 foot 11. Her eyes narrowed at me and I tensed up slightly. Her eyes softened and she moved to the side. "You'll need to speak to the master in order to join." She smiled at me and I smiled back as I stepped in, looking around.

Natsu's POV

I looked towards a girl who had just walked in. Was she a client or someone who wanted to join? Eh, who cares. I LOST THE CHAIR I WAS THROWING AT THE DAMN STRIPPER! I looked back towards Grey. "I'm fired up Ice-Princess, after what girl leaves I'm beating your tail."

Grey looked back at me. "What'd you call me Flame-Brain?!" He stood up and towered over me. I stood up and loomed over him in return, flames forming around my hands.

"Ice make: Ha-" Grey was interrupted with Erza smacking him in the back of the head. I heard a new laugh and looked back towards the girl. She was closer now, watching us. I felt my cheeks heat up, she was smiling.. Her smile made me wanted to smile... My Thoughts were interrupted with Erza hitting me in the back of the head and me falling to the floor. I heard the girl giggle again and it made me smile a bit more. Who the hell was she? I haven't felt like this since-

An image of Lucy getting engulfed in my flames came to my mind and my smile faded quickly. "L-Lucy..." I whispered under my breath. I saw Grey tense up in the corner of my eye. Seems he had heard me.

Grey's POV

"L-Lucy..." I heard the pink haired dragon say. Lucy... Why'd he say her name- What reason did he have? Was he thinking about her? I looked at the new girl. She was smiling and talking to Erza now, they took off to go speak to the master I'm sure. Did she remind Natsu of Lucy? I shook my head slightly to clear my thoughts and I helped him up. I walked out of the guild quietly.

(Y/N) POV

I followed Erza into the Masters office. I looked around. Master Makarov, the leader of Fairy Tail. The one and only. I looked back at him as he was scanning me up and down. I blushed and gulped lightly.

"Name?"

"(Y/N) (L/N)"

"Magic?"

"Earth Magic, Sir."

"Why should I let you into Fairy Tail?"

I froze for a second, why should he? He noticed my freeze because he chuckled lightly.

"I don't have a good reason sir. All I can say is that... if you allow me to join I'll treat every day as my last and act like a family member towards everyone here. I will risk my life to protect the ones here." He smiled lightly.

"Mirajane, get the stamp."

My eyes brightened and widened as I smiled. This is it! I was going to be part of Fairy Tail!
