Tomorrow.
Tomorrow is going to be a huge day for Leila: it was finally the day she's been anticipating for. Her wedding day! The time has gradually come and she couldn't help but be a little jittery about the whole thing. Sure, she's somewhat excited to spend the rest of her life with her soon-to-be-husband (that sounds strange when she thought about it), however that doesn't mean she isn't nervous about the whole day. What if something goes wrong? What if she trips down the aisle? How incredibly embarrassing would that be for her and everyone else watching? The answer to that was very, in case you were wondering.
But she mustn't think of such silly things at a time like this. Tonight she's attending a mini rehearsal dinner with her and her fiancé's friends and family. Not all of the family of course, only the parents and siblings. The rest of their families will obviously be attending the big day tomorrow. Which means more people... and this made Leila feel even more petrified just thinking about all of those gawking eyes on her tomorrow. This made her feel queasy about being the centre of attention.
In all honesty she wanted a cosy wedding, yet he wanted something grander. And even though she didn't really want it to be extravagant and extra, it made him happy. At least she had a beautiful wedding dress awaiting to be worn in her wardrobe and the gigantic chocolate cake awaiting to be eaten. She couldn't wait for that because she knew it was going to be absolutely delicious. Yes, Leila adored chocolate. Luckily she was able to pick the cake and the dress, everything else her fiancé did. She didn't mind though, they had corresponding tastes in most things. Sometimes.
"Lee, are you ready?" her best friend (Natasha) asked on the other side of the door.
"Just a sec!" Leila replied.
Gazing down her figure, running her fingers through her hair and touching up on some parts of her make up, she smiled in satisfaction and relief. Finally done and ready to go! Exiting the bedroom, she met with Natasha and her other best friend Nathan – they were identical twins. They both complimented Leila as soon as she came downstairs, which of course, Leila returned those compliments back to the dashing pair. They got into Nathan's car to go to their awaiting destination.
Due to Nathan's precaution driving, Leila was a tad late to the rehearsal dinner. Yet they didn't look like they were that bothered about their tardiness, therefore Leila felt a little relaxed again. After the overbearing greetings and plenty of squishing hugs/kisses with their family and friends, Leila finally had the chance to sit down in between her soon-to-be husband (Austin) and his best man, Harry. When everyone had ordered their food, Austin held Leila's hand whilst casually chatting to his and Leila's parents, whereas Leila timidly sipped her red wine, listening intently to the many conversations going on around the large table of cheery guests. She couldn't help but be nervous and she wasn't sure why.
"You look stunning." someone whispered into her ear, she stopped sipping on her wine and peered over to Harry's grinning face. She rolled her eyes at him. Although she thought Harry was charming and sometimes sweet, he could be a tad annoying at times. He liked to tease her for the most ridiculous things. But deep down, she liked his playful teasing.
"Thank you. You look... okay I guess." Leila decided to tease him this time and he began to pout. So he can't handle a taste of his own medicine, huh? She lightly chuckles at his actions and continues sipping on her wine, conversing with Austin's older brother (Jason) about university and tedious deadlines. He wants to be a doctor, which is a lengthy process, nonetheless Leila was proud of Jason for achieving his goals.
