I DIDN'T KNOW
how to tell him this; But i couldn't afford to pay for my own lunch.
My blood pressure raised even more when he carried us into a fancy restaurant that I could never dream of ever touching the first step, much less eating in there.
We sat together in a booth with gold leather chairs. I tried as hard as possible not to be too much amazed at everything. Especially since the small girls seemed to be very much accustomed to eat.
"What will you have Laura?" Arabelle asked.
I was sitting in the end of booth, directly in front of Ross and next to Arabelle.
"Oh uh, what are you having?" I asked her.
She smiled sweetly.
"Cake."
My eyes widened for a split second.
"Cake? for lunch?" I asked her bewildered.
She giggled "Yup."
And so did her other sisters.
On the way here, I had learnt the girl's name and age.
Victoria was the oldest at seven, Catherine following a year later at six and Arabelle was four and they lived with their uncle Ross who i'm gathering was rich.
"What are you too having?" I asked Cathy and Tori.
"I'm having S'getti-meatballs." Catherine said making me chuckle at how she pronounced it.
"Mmm, yum!" I said eyes wide and licking my lips making her laugh out loud.
I turned to Victoria.
"beef Burger and fries. They're the best!" She said excitedly.
And mouth began watery at the though of that juicy beef burger.
"Yum, I think i'll have those too." I said making her grin.
All the while Ross was silent and I turned to hi when the sisters began talking with each other.
He was smiling at me.
"You're already great with them."
I blushed a little at the thought that he was looking at me.
I smiled in reply "I do want you o know Laura, that although the girls really want you to be their Nanny. That you can't be just like that, I' having some people run background checks on you." He said.
I nodded understandably "I totally understand that. And though I say this i really would like to work with these little girls. I don't have a ton or a degree n being a nanny or taking care of kids. but i'm in desperate need of a job right now and i'd do anything." i said.
He nodded but before he could reply his phone dinged.
He excused himself and pulled out the cell phone
He smiled at it before shoving it unto his pocket and looking at me "Looks like you're clean miss Marano."
I sighed in relief and smiled.
After we ordered he began "Laura, I'd like you to know that if you agree to being the Nanny of my Nieces, there are some thing you must do." He began.
I nodded listening keenly.
"You'd have to be a live in Nanny. meaning you move out of your house and into our home." He said.
My eyes widened.
"You'll be responsible of taking care of the kids twenty four seven, everyday but of course, you'll have a day to yourself every other Friday. " I nodded. "You'll be expected to make meals for the girls, dress them for school, drop them to school- Do ou have your driver's liscene?" He asked.
I nodded "Yes, but i don't have my own transporation."
"Not necessary, you'll be provided one." He said.
If my eyes were still wide they would have definitely jumped out their sockets.
"when they're away, you'd have to prepare their meals for when they are to come back. Our cleaner Mrs. Michelson cleans the house every two weekends." He said
I interjected "So when they're at school or out what do I do?"
He shrugged "What ever you see fit to do." He said before proceeding "You have to pick them up from school, Fridays and Saturdays they have ballet and Wednesdays are girl scouts, Tuesdays and Thursdays are soccer." He said.
These were busy kids.
He chuckled "It's okay, you'll get a schedule. Now you see why I need a Nanny." He said laughing.
"Is there anything else I need to know?" I asked.
Let's talk Money Mr.Lynch!
"Aha, something important. are you allergic to any animals?" He asked.
I frowned "No."
"AMAZING! you're perfect-" He clapped grinning "The girl have two chihuahua. Shimmer and shine." He said.
Okay. three young girls, to pets. and a heck old of curricular activities. W e can do this Laura.
"You'll be provided your own room and everything. Now let's talk money." He said.
I had to fight the grin that was threatening to spill unto my face.
🌺🌷 🌺🌷🌺🌷
When Ross and I had finished talking business, i could officially say this man was sent fro heaven.
The paycheck was WAY more than i expected or had set of for this morning when i went for that job interview that turned me down.
We had lunch together and I enjoyed having it with the girls.
We finished eating and were still just talking.
"So when do you move in Laura?" Cathy asked me.
I turned to Ross, we hadn't spoken about when I moved in.
"I tomorrow okay?" He asked.
Okay. I wasn't expecting so soon.
"Uh, sure. but i'll have to uh, pack my clothes." I said.
"it's okay, you just do what you have to do. i'll have my driver pick you up tomorrow at 8." He said as he played with Victoria's hair.
"Well then, I guess I better get home and start packing." I say.
He hummed "Yes, i've gotta get back to work." He said standing.
He had paid the bill a while ago, making me relax about the bill.
We exchanged phone numbers before I hugged each of the girls and bid them good bye.
Wow what was happening?
