I heard him say his grand speech when I was watching TV the next morning.
"The Flock of Tygers leader Billie Wilson-Heart gave a heart wrenching speech last night instead of his signature song "The World" and it drove the crowd to tears. Listen in on this video." The newscaster said, smiling brightly. The video was a little blurry but it was obvious that the bandmates were sitting on stools in the middle of the stage.
"As everyone probably has heard I went roller skating last night with a girl." There was cheers. "That girl is my best friend in the world. The day I met her she had fallen and scraped her knees. I helped her up and told her 'my dear princess, you have taken a fall. May I escort you back to your kingdom?' She let me. The next day I got a splinter stuck in my foot. I had no idea how to get it out and was frightened. She was outside playing with Minnie Mouse Band-Aids on her knees and saw my distress. She sat down beside me and successfully pulled the splinter out. It didn't hurt at all. Very seriously, she told me 'my prince, you have been wounded, is there anything I can do?' And I told her 'I need a friend'. My best friend is very talented in music, very creative and very smart. Yesterday, my best friend in the whole world told me 'you haven't talked to me in three years, you are a stranger to me. I wanted to see my best friend, not a rockstar'." The crowd awes and some boos. "Thing is, she is right. I haven't talked to her in three years, I know nothing about her besides what I remember from when we were eight. She told me she misses me. I miss her too, but I get busy. She is probably watching this because Channel 17 is her favorite because she usually watches old cartoons and then watches the news. Emma, if you really are watching, I am really sorry. Not just for my actions, but the way I have treated you the past three years."
"Honey, Paul is here." My mother said from the kitchen. My boyfriend sat beside me, gripping my hands.
"We both have been so busy, I just can't do a relationship right now. We have fun without each other. We never see each other anymore. I think we need to break up." Paul told me.
