Miskai looked around the apartment that he shared with his boyfriend Usagi-san and sighed. Takahiro wouldn't stop telling him he had to move out and he was running out of excuses not to. He had graduated now, and had a well-paying job. He could afford an apartment for himself. He didn't want to leave Usagi-san but he also wasn't sure he was ready to tell his brother about his longstanding relationship either. How to talk to Usagi-san about it seriously was another problem all together, the man hated any talk of Miskai not being near him.

It wasn't just Takahiro either. Usagi-san's father also made it seem like Miskai was only with Usagi-san because of the financial security he offered. He also seemed to think that Miskai wasn't good enough for his son. More and more Miskai was feeling like he needed to prove that he was a man and could support, at least himself.

Usagi-san stumbled down the steps, he had been up all night again with his work. "If you worked steadily you wouldn't have to pull all-nighters at the end." The look he gave Miskai would have made him shrink back a few years ago. He was used to it now. "You need to take better care of yourself." Miskai answered the look turning back to working on dinner for both of them.

"What is for dinner tonight?" Usagi-san asked watching him from the couch.

"Curry." Miskai answered not looking at him. He wanted to make sure Usagi-san knew he wasn't leaving him, it was just for a time, to prove to everyone, both sides of the family, that he could make it on his own. That he loved Usagi-san and wasn't using him for money and wasn't being forced into any kind of relationship.

A strong pair of arms wrapped around his waist as Usagi-san stood behind him at the counter. Miskai could feel his lover lean into him resting his head on his own much shorter one. "I'm out of Miskai" he whispered in his husky voice that, despite his protest Miskai loved to hear. For once the younger man didn't push Usagi-san away, which made the older man worried. "Are you alright?" He wanted to pull away and look at Miskai but he didn't want to waste this rare event of being able to hold his love in his arms so easily.

Miskai nodded his head, letting himself enjoy the arms around him. They had been together five years it was kind of crazy that he still got embarrassed by the actions of love that Usagi-san gave him so willingly. Surprising even himself he turned his head and kissed his lovers cheek. Then immediately regretted it getting beat red in the face and pulling away. He just couldn't do it, it was much too embarrassing to initiate any kind of affection.

Shocked Usagi-san didn't fight when Miskai pushed him away. The younger man never gave him a kiss first. He smiled a little wondering if his young lover was finally coming out of his shell. He chuckled to himself at the look on the poor man's face. He sat down on the couch again content to watch as Miskai made dinner for them.

As they ate the delicious food Miskai had prepared Usagi watched him. Something was off tonight. He didn't like how quite the young man was. He waited until the younger spoke of it though not wanting to pry.

"Usagi-san..." Miskai started not able to look at him. He continued when Usagi made a noise indicating he was listening. "I wanted to talk to you about something, seriously and I don't mean you just refuse and walk off. I'm quite determined about this."

That interested Usagi and he focused all of his attention Miskai "I'm listening." He said warily.

Miskai cleared histhroat. "I was thinking I should get my own place for a while." He glanced upto see Usagis chopsticks fall from his fingers, bouncing off his plate and ontothe floor, his mouth slightly hanging open.
