*Emily's P.O.V*

I quickly ran out the door realizing that i was going to be late for school. I picked up my bag and ran outside to see my bestfriend, Michael sitting in my driveway waiting for me. He looked well put together today, he was wearing a big sweater and his normal black skinny jeans and black vans.

"EMILY HURRY UP WE'RE GONNA BE LATE." Michael shouted, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Right, sorry I'm coming."

I ran to catch up with Michael, he already started making his way to the bus stop. We both got there on perfectly on time.

"Why were you looking at me like that?"

"Well have you seen yourself Michael?" With that Michael turned to face me and slapped me on the shoulder.

"HEY THAT'S NOT NICE" he said, his voice echoing throughout the bus. He turned to face the window and pouted.

"So what took you so long?"

"You're so funny Michael, literally dying over here" I laughed with a blank expression,"but if you really wanted to know, I woke up late and I still wanted to eat, okay"

Michael just stared at me, amused, laughed, and turned to look out the window. I glanced at him one last time, and then put in my headphones.

About 5 minutes later, we arrived at school. As I was leaving the bus, Michael purposely stepped on my shoe. I quickly turned around to glare at a smirking Michael.

Just as I was about to reply, I caught sight of my boyfriend, Cole. He was aggressively staring at Michael before he strolled carelessly towards me.

"Hey babe"

"Hi"

Cole impatiently grasped my arm and dragged me into school, completely ignoring the fact that I was talking to Michael. When I turned to look back at Michael, he was no longer there.

*Michael P.O.V*

I walked into lunch expecting Emily to ask me where I went this morning. To be honest, I'm not even sure why I left; I always walk with all of them in the morning. I just assumed she'd rather be with her boyfriend than me, her best friend of 4 years. Instead, I met up with Luke and spoke with him. He was ranting about his life. I would always listen to what he had to speak about. After all, he was my best friend next to Emily.

"MMMIIICCCHHHAAAAEEEELLLL!" Emily's voice echoed throughout the lunch room.

I turned around to see her sprinting at me with wide open arms, about to bombard me with hugs. I face planted onto the floor with Emily on me laughing her ass off. I couldn't contain my laughter anymore I exploded. Her eyes met mine and she grinned while she got to her feet. I just starred at her, I can't believe that i can call this girl my best friend she is so amazing. She once again offered me her hand. This time i just took it and smiled at her. After we were both standing and good we went into line to good food. Emily looked over at me worry clearly in her eyes and asked, "Where did you go this morning?"

I froze not knowing what to say, I just looked at her and lied, "Oh Luke called me over to talk and by the time we were done you guys were all ready gone". She stood there looking at me for a while before simply nodding.

"What are you getting Michael?" I looked at her and smiled,

"What do i always get?"

"Pizza" we both said in unison.

We both got our pizza and made it back to the table where Calum and Luke were sitting.

"Hey guys" Luke and calum said at the same time. They both looked surprised at the fact that they said something at the same time and high-fived each other. Idiots. We sat down and started to eat our lunch.

By the end of lunch we were both stuffed with pizza, and still making each other laugh. The bell rung and i got up to leave but Emily got up and pulled me back down.

"Woah there Emily, what do you need?" I said laughing

She looked at me with all seriousness almost like she was studying my face, my smile faded from my face.

"Em, whats wrong?" She quickly blinked and stood up fast.

"nothing sorry I have to go i'll see you after school, bye."

I blinked and looked around to see if that was just real life. I realized that I was the only one left in the lunch room, I quickly grabbed my bag and left to go to science. Ew, science.

********AFTER SCHOOL*********

*Emily P.O.V*

I was waiting for Michael to come to my locker after last period. I was waiting for him until I heard the voice of my amazing boyfriend.

"Hey babe, who are you waiting for??" Cole said in his deep voice.

"You know who I'm waiting for, I don't know where he is, hes usually out by now." I said worried.

"I can drive you home today, I'm sure hes fine." He replied with a smile on his face

I stood there for one More minute debating if i should stay and wait for Michael or go with Cole. I do have a lot of homework to do, so I guess the earlier i get home the sooner I can get it done so then I can play xbox with Michael.

"Alright, lets go." I grabbed his hand and made my way to his car.

*Michaels P.O.V*

I got stuck in my last class my teacher held me back because he said i wasn't "putting effort into my work". Yeah right. I finally got out and walked to my locker to grab all of my homework out of my locker. I usually don't do homework anyway Just grab it so it looks like i do it. As i made my way to Emily's locker i saw that she wasn't there, I looked around for her and saw her walking hand in hand with Cole to his car. I felt my heart just burst, usually she waits for me, and i drive her to my house, we do homework then play xbox. I guess she forgot about me. Two can play at that game. I got into my car and drove home. I turned off my phone and my xbox, and actually did homework. After i did my homework i wasn't really in the mood for xbox, I decided to lie down on the couch. Next thing I know I was fst asleep on the couch, dreaming about my best friend.
