Wind buffeted my fur. Cats yowled in the distance. Claws raked my pelt. Storms howled loudly. Chaos was happening; utter chaos.

Battles begun, screeching cats; countless spurts of blood flew everywhere... even mine. I just stood there, I couldn't move one bit. Was it a dream, a nightmare?

Claws raked my pelt - until I fell. I couldn't feel anything, not even the blood and rain drenching my pelt. I collapsed , then darkness came.

"Goldenkit, Goldenkit! Are you ok?" A voice called. The cat started to prod her awake.

Turning her head slightly, Goldenkit noticed Specklekit looking at her with worry in her eyes. "Goldenkit!" She shouted again, obviously getting impatient with her.

"Hush my darling. Goldenkit will wake up in time." Birdwing, their mother, said.

Goldenkit sat up moments later and stretched, hearing Specklekit behind her screaming happily, only to be hushed by their mother.

"Hey Goldenkit!" She heard Specklekit greet her, holding in her excitement.

"Hi Specklekit." Goldenkit calmly said, walking past her and tucking her legs under her, then wrapping her tail around her flank.

A sudden movement at the den entrance caught her attention. It was Rainfall!

"Hey Rainfall!" She suddenly got a lot of energy. It was nice seeing her father when he had some free time.

"Hello Goldenkit." He dipped his head at her as if she was a senior warrior then chuckled

He hopped over the ferns that surrounded the den entrance and padded over to his mate, Birdwing.

"How is my beautiful mate today?" He grinned.

"Oh don't worry about me. Goldenkit had a nightmare last night. I'm worried about her." She replied. "It would be great if you could talk to her about it." She finished

"Okay love, I will." He replied, "Goldenkit come outside with me please."
