JESSIES POV

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM

"Jessica! Open your door now!" An abundant noise filled the room and an aggrivated Daddy burst through my door.

"JESSICA! What do you think you're doing locking your bedroom door?! You known that's unexceptable!" Only being semiconcious I managed to slurr out a simple,

"But I didn't lock it."

"SIR! Sir are you alright?" I heard the noise and thought you were in some sort of trouble. Not that I doubt your ability to handle a situation like that." A strange yet attractive boy burst in.

"Woah." I spoke almost inaudably and in pure amazement.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to just run in. And I didn't even introduce myself to you Jessie. My name's Cole, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Oh! Um. Hi! I'd say my name, but it seems like you already know that." I sheepishly say blushing.

"I apologize for my intruding and I'll leave you two to talk now." He respectively spoke and walked out of my room.

"Jessie you know that-"

"Daddy why is Cole here and why didn't you tell me?" I spoke, my voice shrill.

"Well I only just found out. But," not caring about cutting him off, I interrupted.

"How did you just find out?"

"Because he just dropped by for a visit. He also wanted to know if you'd like to go out with him tonight." When Daddy spoke about Cole his voice was light and his strong face relaxed, it made him look younger and almost happy. But when I brought up Santiago...SANTIAGO! We were supposed to hang out today! I completely forgot! Oh shit I need to call him. My mind immediatly wakes up, my hand darting across my bed and snatching up my phone, rapidly dialing his number. My palms were sweaty and my heart was racing, what do I tell him? That I have to hang out with my fiánce? C'mon pick up,pick up, pick up. Please!

"Hey, it's Santia-"

"SANTIAGO! You know how-"

"I'm busy right now but-"

"GODDAMMIT!" I scream as I hung up the phone. Why can't he answer. OH I KNOW!I thought, buzzing with joy at my simple idea. I viciously picked up my phone and opened up to my texts.

TO:

SANTI STARES-AT-MY-ASS

Hey. I need you text me ASAP! I won't be able to hang today but maybe another day? I'm sorry but something unexpectedly came up today.

As I sent the text I immeadiatly regretted it. What will he think? He think I don't want to hang out? Will he question it? Bringing me out of my haze, my phone rang, sending vibrations through my legs.

"Damn crotch vibrations..." I muttered under my breath. I looked down at my phone, my heart stopping and a nauseous feeling washing over me.

FROM:

SANTI STARES-AT-MY-ASS

I'm sorry, I'm not sure who this is, but I'm guessing this is Jessie. My name's Uriah and Santi can't type right now. He got a concussion so bad he keeps slipping into a coma. He fell and hit his head, hard.

TO:

SANTI STARES-AT-MY-ASS

Uriah, can you please call me?

I couldn't believe it. I mean, I know he's a cluts, but still!

FROM:

SANTI STARES-AT-MY-ASS

Sure. Just call me whenever

Before hitting call I took in a deep breath and felt the cool air flow through my lungs. As the phone rang I couldn't help but bounce in anticipation.

"Hey, Jessie," a deep raspy voice cooed.

"Hey. Do you know, by any chance, what he was doing when he injured himself?" I asked, not wanting to be rude but anxious.

"Not really. His mom called me and told me everything so I, of course, rushed straight to the hospital." His voice sounded strangled and I knew he was upset.

"I'm so sorry. You must be so close to him." I say in a hushed tone, trying to show some sympathy.

"Well yeah. I've been his boyfriend for almost 3 years."

"What?" I whisper, my body going cold.

"Yeah. Didn't he tell you?"

"No. He didn't." And with that, I hung up the phone. Anger surged through me and hot tears slowly traveled down my face. Aggravation burned its way into my heart. Fury coursed through my veins and all I could do was bawl.

Because no matter how hard I tried, I wouldn't be able to change him. And it killed me inside to know.
