1.  Trails of Idoneus (Idoneus = Worth in Latin)

Where:  Alaiglaria; at the Capital.

When:  Beginning of Summer.

Purpose:  It was once used as a way for shammed people and/or families to win their pride back.  Now its used to test people who are coming of age, usually between the ages of 16-20, to show their worth to the court; mainly the King.  If one passes, they are deemed "God-like".  Every once in a while, shammed people will do the trails to get their life back and live in the Capital again.

-It is not a law that everyone must do the Trails.  If someone chooses not to go through it, there will be no penalties for that person and their family.

How:  It's usually a fight to the death.  One is paired up with an Element that's stringer against their Element.  You have to kill your opponent to win and please the King.

2.  Celebration of Idoneus

A Festival to showcase those who made it through the Trails of Idoneus.

Where:  Alaiglaria; at Lake Nor.

When:  At the end of the 8th month, Baguo.

Purpose:  For the citizens to see the victors of the Trails and to celebrate them.

How:  Tents, games, parties, and feasts will be held one evening and many people from all over Alaiglaria will show up to appease the King and show respect to him and the victors.

3.  Celebration of Time

A form of New Years to the Dragon race.

Where:  Islari; at the Capital.

When:  The first month, Janu.

Purpose:  Time is important to the Dragons.  It helps keep track of when festivals start, mating season, harvests, and other things start.  This is just to celebrate it.

How:  Dragons will gather to share gifts and stories to one another.  A great feast is held in the evening and offerings to the Irishads (Ir-ish-ad) are made.

4.  Celebration of Glass

A trades fair.

Where:  Islari; at the Capital.

When:  The 6th month, Julis, all month long.

Purpose:  To trade goods with others that might be hard to get in other places.

How:  Clans fro each species will select a handful of tradesmen and send them to the capital to trade with others and bring back goods that are needed for the clans.

5.  Celebration of Fate.

Selection of a mate.

Where:  All over Islari.

When:  The 5th month, Marius.

Purpose:  For each Dragon to find their mate.  Dragons mate for life.

How:  The males are usually the ones who'll seek out the one they would like to have as a mate and will seek out their attention.  Once its noticed, the male will bring gifts of all kinds to impress the one they pick.  If they're accepted, they will court for the month and then the other partner will decide if the male was successful.  If the partner accepts the other, then they are mates for life.  The two will wear something, such as jewels or tattoos of the same thing, to show to others that they have been claimed.  If the courtship fails, the male must either wait till next year or move on to someone else.
