Wild thought were racing through Harry's mind... Pigeons... WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE PIGEONS. Why couldn't it be Hippogriffs. if he raced hippogriffs like Rose i would definitely go to his races more often. But he doesn't. He races Pigeons. Dirty, grimy, ugly, smelly, street-walking non-magical Pigeons. those filthy creatures. Well, we can't change what he does. He really seems to like it, I mean having done it for eleven years... you'd think you would know by now if he didn't like to race those things. Ugh, I just don't know what to do... I would race if I could, No, Who am I kidding, I'd be more likely to fly away than the birds. "if only Ginny knew." "If only Ginny knew what?" said Ginny, as she walked into the bedroom with a pile of the kids' old robes in her hands. "What are you doing with those??" "just found these in the kids old rooms. she plopped the robes down beside Harry. "Is something on your mind Harry?" "What?..no...it's just i'm afraid." "afraid of what?" "of of of PIGEONS!" "Of PIGEONS!?" Ginny burst out laughing. "that's nonsense! how could you be afraid of Pigeons? they're harmless creatures!" "Two words Uncle...  Vernon! he put pigeons in my room! WHEN I WAS 6!!! I ONLY WANTED A BLOODY PICKLE! "Is that why you didn't let me release forty pigeons at our wedding?" "Maybe." " it also might be that i didn't want vermin flying around the tent and pooping on your relatives and Hagrid." "oh, they were my great Aunt Muriel's pigeons and they fought in the great wizard war they served as carrier pigeons, they carried people bigger than Hagrid back to safety after they had been injured." " Ginny, how big exactly WERE those pigeons?" "Not very big, about the size of a small ham." "Wow."
