I woke up to light shaking. I groaned and buried myself deeper into whoever was holding me. The shaking began to quicken as I groggily opened my eyes. The only light was from the TV. I looked up to see someone's chin until I made my way up into their eyes. Hazel.
Oh shit. All the memories from earlier came flooding back to me, and I shot up to sit upright. Antonio was staring at me. He was shaking but why was he shaking. I saw anger flash in his eyes before I looked to see Vince standing in the doorway growling.
I looked at their eyes to see that they were glazed over. They were communicating through the mind link. Both men were shaking. Oh no. They are going to shift. Calm them down Olive, flashed through my mind.
I cleared my throat nervously before speaking, "Um guys. What is the matter?"
I placed my hand on Antonio's forearm as Vince growled louder. I was not exactly scared but a bit concerned because I didn't want them to hurt each other or to hurt me. Antonio glanced at me and saw the concern in my eyes. He patted my hand and took calming breaths. He mind-linked Vince again and Vince growled before nodding. Vince slowly stopped shaking. Now he only had a small twitch.
I pulled my hand back to my chest and stood up. I calmly walked over to Vince. I placed my hand on his shoulder as I watched his eyes cut to my hand then to my eyes.
"In. Out. In. Out," I spoke calmly watching as he finally stopped twitching.
As I went to remove my hand from his shoulder, he grabbed it along with the other one. He stared at my wrapped knuckles. Drops of blood had soaked through so some spots were red. I tried to pull my hands out of his but his hold was too strong. He brought one of my hands up to his mouth and kissed each of my knuckles. He did the same to the other hand while I stood there rigid. I couldn't move nor could I speak. I looked down staring at my bare feet and his sock covered feet.
"Tesoro," he gruffly spoke.
I continued to stare at the ground. He released his hold on my hands, and I quickly pulled them to my chest.
"Tesoro. Please look at me. I know everything is not alright but please just at least look at me," he pleaded.
I shook my head no. I went to take a step back as his hands shot out and grabbed my upper arms. I couldn't move. I couldn't think. For some reason I could only think of Wayde and what had happened. Images of him abusing me and taking advantage of me flooded through my brain. I shivered.
Vince noticed because he extended his arms to full length to put some distance between us.
"Tesoro. I beg of you. Please look up and explain. Hell you don't even have to explain anything but just look at me. I'm concerned about you. This sudden mood change is scaring me, Tesoro," he begged out.
An Alpha begging. An Alpha begging to me. What is happening? I continued to stare at the ground. Why am I scared? Vince isn't going to hurt me, is he? No he couldn't. I was having an internal battle within myself.
I felt as Vince removed one of his left hand from my arm and lifted it to my chin. He was very gentle. He helped me as I lifted up my head still an internal battle going on within myself. I do not why I had this sudden change and that was what was scaring me.
I closed my eyes as my face was brought all the way up. Vince kept his tender hold on my chin. I finally opened my eyes to see concern and sadness swimming in Vince's gray eyes. The purple flecks were really present while the gold flecks flitted to the back.
"Tesoro. Please," Vince begged, "I swear to you I am not going to hurt you."
That was all the conformation I needed before I broke. I began violently shaking. I would have fallen to the floor except Vince still had his arms on me. He caught me before I hit the floor and pulled my small frame to him. He held onto me tightly for fear that if he let go I would have fallen into pieces. In fact I might have.
