It was your first day at U.A. High. You scored first in the entrance exam, which made you happy that something good had been done with your quirk. After all, your parents had left you. They called you a monster because of your quirk. Luckily, a pro hero had seen your quirk firsthand. He "saw your potential" and offered to take you into his care. You only knew him as Aizawa Shouta. The man never told you his hero name, though. Anyways, you were dressing into your new school uniform, rushing to the kitchen for a quick breakfast. As you ran into the kitchen, you saw that your breakfast was sitting on the table.
"Y/N. You woke up late." Your guardian was leaning back on the couch in the living room. "Sorry, Shouta!" You yelled across the house. Gobbling up the sandwich that he made, you decided to head to school early. Off the coat rack, you grabbed your F/C scarf and walked out the door.
"See you in class, Y/N."
As you made your way to the entrance of Class 1-A, you couldn't help but think about why the door was so... tall. Then, you peeked inside the classroom, seeing that a red-haired boy and another boy with glasses were chatting. "Oi, move over!" You got shoved aside by an ash-blonde. Scowling at him, you stuck your foot out, tripping him. You decided to use your quirk. Before he fell to the ground, time stopped, and you pulled out a marker, doodling a mustache and thick eyebrows. Standing in your original position, you blinked. Time resumed, and the rude boy fell to the ground. Your head began to ache. 'I used it too long... Damn it.'
"WHAT'D YOU DO THAT FOR?!" The angered ash-blonde grabbed you by the collar, and you snickered. "Do what? I don't recall doing anything to you." He let go of you, and when he turned around, everyone started laughing. "WHO'RE YOU LAUGHING AT?!" The red-haired boy pointed to his face. "You have... a little something on your face." You quickly ran to a random desk, plopping down in it. After seeing the look on that jerk's face, you pulled a book out of your backpack, continuing to read it where you left off.
"That's my seat, you piece of shit." The same boy from earlier pulled your book away as you were reading it. "Oh, really?" You stared into his eyes, making eye contact. "Do I see any names on this seat? I don't think so." In rage, the spiky-haired boy used his quirk to burn your book. "Oops." He smirked. In the corner of your eye, you saw Aizawa arriving to the classroom in a sleeping bag. "Put on these gym uniforms and meet outside." You guessed that your class was going to skip the orientation.
"Today, we're going to do a quirk apprehension test." Aizawa looked at the boy that you tripped earlier. He had washed the mustache and eyebrows off his face. "Bakugou. Use your quirk and see how far you can throw this ball."
'Bakugou. So that's his name.'
"DIE!!" Bakugou threw the ball with his quirk. 'Anger management issues?' You thought. He threw the ball at a distance of 705.2 meters. "You will all be doing a series of 8 tasks. The person to land in last place will be expelled." You could tell that he was bluffing. After all, you lived under his care since you were four years old. You got put against Bakugou for the 50-meter dash. Right as the buzzer went off, you warped the space in front of you, running past the finish line in less than a second. Your head started throbbing again after using your quirk. "Y/N. Don't abuse your quirk again." Aizawa walked over to you. "Just take it easy." You nodded and walked with the class to the next task.
The grip strength test wasn't exactly your forte, but you got a decent score. You got the highest score with the standing long jump. You distorted the space in front of you, just enough to beat everyone else in the class. Holding the pain in, you stifled a cough as you began to see stars. 'Just breathe...' You got the second best score in the sustained sideways jump, behind Bakugou. He sneered at you. "I'm going to be the best in this school. Don't get in my way." Holding in a laugh, you said, "No promises."
The final task. The ball throw. You were the first to go, getting a score of infinity. Trying not to use too much of your quirk, you ended up creating a small rift opening up to outer space. Your body began to feel more of the after-effects of your quirk. As you struggled to stand up, you saw the last person, a green-haired boy, throw the ball. 46 meters. You then realized that your guardian was the underground hero, Eraserhead. Aizawa used his scarf to pull the boy towards him, ridiculing the boy. You watched them in silence and looked at the boy taking a second try. He got a higher score than Bakugou, but at the cost of injuring his forefinger. That made the hot-headed jerk furious. "Deku, you quirkless shit!" He charged forward in means of assault, but Aizawa used his quirk and restrained Bakugou with his scarf.
Later, you approached the green-headed boy as he walked out of the nurse's office, introducing yourself. "Hi! My name's L/N, F/N!" The boy looked startled. He sheepishly smiled. "M-My name's Midoriya Izuku! Nice to meet you!" Both of you started up a conversation on the way back to the classroom, and you saw a familiar ash-blonde shove the both of you aside. "Fucking trash." You opened a rift and walked through it. You ended up in front of Bakugou. "Says the one who got second place." He was about to shove you aside once more, when you swiftly dodged him and slapped him in the face.
"Nice try, but I'd rather keep my uniform as clean as possible."
