Hope

I don't know whether to be scared or not.
The plan is dangerous. I'm good at my part, practicing for a day straight will do that.

That was the easy part.

We had to wait another day for the letter to be delievered.

He was torn. A whole day, waiting for it to be delievered. We could do it ourselves, but that's illegal, I said. So, no. Not doing that.

I swear he was trying to rip his hair out.

Anyway, the letter we'd sent - basically, it was me inviting Ji to meet me at the coffee shop she and Yoongi had first met at, around 5 pm. It was 4:37 now...

Ping

That was Yoongi.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, checking the text, though I knew what it'd say.

Ji's Mint: Is he there yet?
Are you there yet?

No and yes. There's still 20 minutes. I told you to be patient, I came half an hour early.

What are you wearing?

Gray tank top and black shorts. Adidas shoes. Purple snapback.

I know.
Might as well

I don't need you to get hurt, Hope.

I won't.
He can try to hurt me.
He can try.

If he does, he's a dead man walking. Do let him know.

I will.

4:47.

Target spotted. See ya.

See ya. Stay safe.

I will.

---

I dont think this guy recognizes me. He's looking around the cafe... I glanced at him breifly, the way I would if I had been expecting someone other than him.

Rasising my phone in front of my face, I studied him out of the corner of my eye. He was still looking - maybe because my sunshiney orange hair was hidden? Could be. So, I propped my phone on the table and, looking at my reflection, causally took off my snapback to fix my hair, then put it back on.

Yeah, he's recognized me now.

As requested, my friend Tae texted me now. He wasn't in on the whole plan - we didn't want him getting hurt, either.

I picked up my phone, ignoring the man walking towards me. God, he was tall. Maybe 182 cm? 6 foot? Wow.

Hard to ignore.

Anyway, Tae...

Taelien: Jhobie

Yes

Where are you
I'm bored
I wanna see you

Aw
I wish I could
I'm meeting someone else, baby
I wish I could

Awwww
I miss you

I turned to the guy looking over my shoulder, raising an eyebrow and draping my arm over the chair. My hand brushed against his pocket, and he stepped back. "You need something? Privacy, dude. Spying ain't cool."

He growled at me. "Stay away from Ji."

I paused 'comprehension dawning over my face', hopefully. "Ahhh, so you're Jeoneo. Nice ta meetcha. Sit, why don't you?" I said, gesturing at the lone seat across from me.

He took the offer. Not what I expected, but then, I barely knew the guy.

I miss you too, TaeTae. Can we meet tomorrow? Or maybe tonight?

Okaaaaaayyyyy

We'd planned out what to say, and just in case, Yoongi and Tae were in a car a few blocks from here.

"Who are you texting? Your boyfriend?" He asked.

I snorted, looking up at him. "Do I look gay?"

"You called him baby."

"It's an inside joke."

"Didn't seem like it." He smirked, raising an eyebrow as I glared.

"He's my friend."

"Oh, like that Yoongay fella?"

"He's not gay. I mean, he was. We thought. He's bi." I shrugged. Actually, he was straight, but it was fun to tease. None of us minded. Anyway.

"Yeah, well, you tell him to stay away from Ji. There'll be consequences if he doesn't."

"Oh yeah? Consequences like what, the same as Ji?"
... that hadn't been in the script.
Uh oh.
He was mad.

"Ji? She's fine, what do you mean?"

I leaned acros the table, saying in a low whisper: "What I mean is this: lay one more finger on Ji, and you're dead."

He watched as I stood up and walked out, texting Tae:

Mission accomplished.

---
No, you do not get to know what the mission was. There is a clue, though.

I like VHope. But tbh I don't actually ship Bangtan with each other. I see them as brothers. I mean yeah, I read some stories, but I don't see em as bangtan
