Chapter 14

Jake's P.O.V.

I called mom and told her that Ivy had to get surgery and could possibly not make it. Then, I called Manfs.

Jake: Hey Manfs, I've got bad news.

Manfs: What is it?

Jake: When Ivy fell, she broke part of her bone and the doctors can't find it. They just put her into major surgery. There is a chance, Ivy won't make it through. If I didn't let them do this surgery, her leg would have been amputated. 

Manfs: Oh shit. You got our prayers and Gavin, Ademir, the girls, and I are coming. 

Jake: Thanks bro"

Manfs got there in like 10 minutes. They found me in the waiting room. They all hugged me. We sat in silence for about an hour or two. I lost track of time. Then finally the nurse came out. She had a frown on her face. She looked at me. I walked up to her.

"I'm sorry, but the bone broke into multiple pieces and there isn't enough time to find all of them. We need your permission to amputate her leg." The nurse said looking down.

"Fuck! Fucking do it. It's the last resort. Fuck it." I said throwing my hands up in the air. The nurse walked back. I sat with everyone and told them everything.

"Ivy's a fighter. She will make, Jake. Have faith." Ashley told me.

"I know she's a fighter, but she's fought her battle. She escaped her battle. She's a wounded warrior." I said to Ashley. She nodded. We sat in silence until my mom and mama Manfs walked in. I ran to my mom and hugged her. 

"Ivy's leg is getting amputated right now." I said in tears. 

"Ivy will make it. calm down, Jake." Mom said. We sat down in silence for about an hour when the same nurse came out and I walked up to her. All the doctors came out and took their caps off. 

"No. She can't be. I can't believe it." I said on my knees while crying. 

"She bled out." The nurse said to me.

"Can I see her please?" I asked the nurse.

"Yes, you may. Three at a time." The nurse said to me.

"Ashley, Akyra, come on." I said to them. We followed the nurse back to her room. Ivy laid there, cold. 

"Baby, I know you can't hear me, but I wanted you to know that no matter how many times I said I love you, It wasn't enough. You were there for me when I needed you. I don't know what I'm going to do without you with me. You fought your battle and you won. My battle has just started and it will end when we are together again. You are forever in my heart. I will never forget about you. I will always love you, Ivy White." I said to her.....
