Its been a week since Jace and I kissed. Yet he hasn't said anything about us being together, together. I keep leaving hints too.

All I know right now is that I think he's gonna ask today. He told me to meet him outside by the big oak tree at our school.

I couldn't keep concentration on school at all. I kept thinking about after school. I was to excited to think of anything else.

He wasnt even at lunch.

"I'm sure he's just setting things up" Jenny says.

"Jenny I didnt say I was worried" I say.

"Just making sure, dont need my best friend hurt" she says.

"I agree to that" kyle says.

"Ok guys, I understand" I say. " but really I'm not worried."

"Ok, anyway how is it being a juniors love interest?" Jenny asks.

"I'm actually surprised, I thought he hated me" I say. "But really he was confused as to why he likes me."

"You know this sounds like a cheesy love story" Jenny says.

"You mean like the ones you read" kyle says.

"Yeah, they are so cute.....I can't help but read them" Jenny says.

I laugh at my friends.

After lunch my nerves just got worse. I really didnt know what he had planned. I just wanted the day to be over.

When the day was actually over I basically ran to the oak tree. When I got there I was amazed.

There was a blanket on the grass with plates on it and a basket. Jace wasn't to be seen, which was weird. Then all of the sudden I hear a guitar. I look behind me and Jace is there. He has a huge smile and I realize the song he's playing. Before he starts to sing he says.....

Then he starts to sing lon light on by Shawn Mendez.........my favorite song.

We were now eating on the blanket and he still hasn't asked. Maybe he was nervous. But then he started to say something.

"Look, Aidan I know we've only known each other for a little bit but I wanted to ask you something" he says.

"Yeah."

"Will you be my boyfriend?" He asks.

"Yes, omg Jace, yes.......I like you so much, you dont realize how happy you just made me."

He smiles and leans over to kiss me. I instantly start to kiss him back. Our kiss was cut short when someone says Jaces name.

"Jace is that you?" The person asks.

We look behind us and Jaces fave drops.

"Holden?"
