Day had come and Mark had searched for Jack all night. Jack was nowhere to be found.
Mark, with droopy eyes, lumbered through the streets. He hadn't slept for hours, and trotted around the city.
People gave Mark some alarmed, or concerned, looks. He had returned a smile back to tell them he was fine.
But he wasn't.
He needed Jack.
The sun drowned through the dark, stormy clouds surrounding it. It was going to rain but Mark didn't care.
He couldn't bare to think about what all could have happened to Jack. Mark wanted Jack in his arms, knowing he was safe.
Right now, Jack had this feeling that something was going to happen. Something bad.
While Dark was gone, Jack decided to check out the attic. Though Dark had always said to never go in there.
The Irish man crept up the creaking steps. The more he got closer, the more he felt nervous.
Once he reached the door, he placed his hand in the cold knob, slightly turning it. The room had a dark aura.
Jack had found books and looked through them. Each page had a picture of Jack. Some had his face crossed out, or had blood splattered on the page.
Chills ran down his spin as he looked through the pages more. The more pages he went through, the more creepier they got.
The faded pages had information about Jacks dreams and fears. Jack scrunched his eyebrows together in confusion.
The man got up and explored a little more. He had found some weapons and broken glass. That's when he spotted a book across the room.
On the front it titled, Fictional Demons. Jack had read the first page,
Many people have dreams of being killed or approaching demons. This can happen if you had blacked out or been unconscious. People often tend to see demons, but end up being fake.
Was Jack unconscious? Or was this real?
Behind Jack stood a man with red eyes, "I see you've found the book,". This made Jack shiver in fear. "You're not real! Go away!"
"I can't go away, I'll haunt you forever.."
Jack sprinted out of the attic, while being careful down the stairs of course, and running out of the abandoned house.
Luckily, the sun was rising, Jack could make it to town. He looked behind him to see that Dark was no where in sight.
Maybe this was fate for him to escape. Dublin wasn't that far from where Jack was if he kept running.
As Jack kept going he could see the city coming into view.
He made it to the city and people looked at him weirdly. Some hurried to get out of his way, while screeching.
Mark sat at a bench watching the people pass but one person caught his eye. The person was running, possibly running away from someone.
Mark got up to block the man and the man stopped as well. "Jack?!" Mark smiled. Jack looked up and saw Mark.
"Mark? What are you doing here?" Jack said in fear. "I came to see you," Mark said while gripping Jacks arms.
"Mark we need to go, it's not safe here.." Jacks worried expression made Mark scared. "What's going on Jack?"
"I'll tell you once we're away from him,"
