I lead the way as we step off the train, helping Paige and Dar while Bella refuses. "Fine. Come on. It's only four to a boat."
"How does she-" Taleah starts. This time Paige cuts her off.
"She's weird like that. She's been able to do that as long as I've known her."
"Her whole life actually." Dar supplies.
"Wow." Taleah semi jogs to catch up with me and Bella. It ends up that Taleah, Bella, Paige and I sit in one boat while Dar gets stuck with two boys, one with black hair and the other with platinum.
"So," I let my hand skim over the water, "what are you like Taleah? Us three kinda grew up together but you're all new to us."'
"That's...a little hard to answer. I'm really not that interesting."
"Try us once." I raise an eyebrow.
"Well, I'm not proud of my past...but that was then. Now I would describe myself as a prankster, mischief and mayhem are my specialty, I'm stubborn, I have an obsession with anime and YouTube, that's really all I can think of." Taleah answers. I smirk. "What about you three?"
"This one," I point at Bella, "used to hang out by herself a lot and we kinda absorbed her into the group. Paige basically adopted me as a friend and myself? I have a rough home life so I'm pretty good at thievery and lying."
"Oh." Is all she can get out before we dock.
"Hey, what house do you think you'll get into?" Bella asks us.
"Slytherin?" Paige guesses. I roll my eyes but say nothing although I know she'll be probably in Hufflepuff.
"Probably Slytherin for me." I shrug nonchalantly. "You?"
"Ravenclaw." Paige answers before her. "Miss 'Hack into the wifi'."
I chuckle. "What about you Taleah?"
"It's between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, but I don't know for sure."
"How much you want to bet Dar gets put in Gryffindor?" I ask. "I've got ten knuts on me and about thirteen in my trunk."
"Deal."
"I've got a sickle he doesn't." Paige challenges. Bella laughs but stays out of it.
"Hey Taleah? I wanna ask you a question, do you know any wizards? My mom's best friend is a half blood." I tilt my head.
"I uh, I can't say that I do." she answers, visibly nervous
I casually sling my arm around her shoulder, accidentally surprising her. "Well don't worry. You got us now." I smirk.
Bella rolls her eyes. "I'm guessing you're from America too? You don't have an accent like everyone else. Well except for Liz. She sounds Irish is you get her really mad. It's funny."
"Yeah, although I do have FAS so I could sound like I'm from around here if I talk to someone who has an accent for too long or if I get mad." Taleah answers
"Awesome. What state? We're from PA. Down around McAlisterville." Paige bounces beside me.
"Really? I'm from there too! Strange that we haven't met before, it's a pretty small town."
"We all went to different schools. Well, I went to a different one than them. I went to Fayette." My eyes travel the length of the doors we are now standing in front of. I remove my attention from them and grab something from my bag. "Here, I snuck them from the trolley woman." I pass around chocolate frogs with a smirk.
