This story is pretty heavy. Just kidding my writing is extremely mediocre. I'm planning on more McHanzo after this. If there are any objections please speak up! I'm writing for you! That's right! You!

Hope you enjoy!

Everybody had heard about the masked phantom named Reaper and how he was seeking former Overwatch agents. Of course everybody knew this, some found out the hard way, however. Many agents have been brutally slaughtered or assassinated. There were just over a handful left, one of them being Jack. He was retired and slightly aged, it hadn't been too long. His blonde hair a mess and his outfit extremely casual compared to the uniform he used to wear every single day. He was in his apartment, bitter and lonely. His past soulmate, Gabe had been killed in battle. He could remember him clear as day. His dark skin, beard, and large form. Jack missed him so badly, he remembered the day he heard the news. He was devastated. Just a few days later Overwatch was destroyed and his entire career went down with it.

Now he was just a casual man living a below average life. He sighed into the air as he laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering what he's going to do with himself. He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and sighed louder. His breaths were breathless, he felt empty.

He continued this lazy act until he felt his stomach growl, he realized that he hadn't eaten in a long time so, he decided to go to the kitchen and make a college student rated meal. Packs of Ramen littered his cabinets, it was almost all he ate. To anyone it sounded silly and unhealthy but, why should he care?

He was just about to pour the scalding water into the bowl but, a black mist began to seep in through the window and fill the kitchen. Jack began to feel dizzy and powerless and then, he passed out, the only thing he could remember last was a what felt like a claw wrap around his mouth.

Jack woke up, he tried to stretch and move but, his limbs were tied to a chair. He sighed, wondering what was the deal this time. He looked up to find a phantom like figure, staring at him. Reaper. Jack scowled at him, knowing his fate was already sealed. But he wasn't exactly going to go down easily. "The hell does an enigma like you want from me?!", he exclaimed. Reaper just laughed, a raspy, deep noise that echoed through the empty room. "I take it you don't recognize me?", he drawled. Jack's face was then etched with perplexity, what does he mean? "What do you mean?" The phantom just snickered and then he raised a gauntlet, reaching for his face. Then he pulled his mask off and Jack's eyes widened in absolute shock. It's..him. "Gabe?", Jack asked, not wanting to believe it. He felt his heart clench at seeing the face he thought he'd never see again. He felt his face heat up and he began to feel heavy. "Gabe..."

Gabe was aware that he was supposed to assassinate another member but, did he know that it was soulmate? No. He couldn't do that. Despite his absolute cold demeanor and hatred for Overwatch, he can't do it to him. He loved him.

Gabe sighed as he mentally debated whether or not he should get the job done or untie him. He was leaning towards just killing him, to get rid of him and follow Talons dreams. But then Jack did something he thought he'd never do.

A tear rolled down his cheek as he stared at Gabe, refusing to believe that it was truly him. "Is it really you?", he asked, hope lacing his meek tone. Another sigh escaped Gabe's lips, "Yes. Yes it's me Jack." Jack broke down, his eyes endlessly produced tears as he  tried to contain himself.

His orbs were glassy as they were glazed with tears, he calmed down, his breaths coming out unevenly. "I miss you so much, Gabe...", he hesitantly said. Gabe shook his head and walked around him. He began to untie him.

As soon as Jack was free he threw himself onto Gabe. Jack's mind shut off, he could old just process the feeling Gabe in his arms again. Gabe was at first hesitant but nonetheless he gave in and wrapped his arms around Jack, instantly remembering how it felt to have him in his arms. Jack just continued to sob into his chest, completely forgetting about his dignity. Gabe was rubbing his back in a circular motion with the palm of his hand, trying to calm him down.

"Gabe? What exactly happened to you?", Jack asked, genuinely concerned. He sighed, "After the bombing Angela tried to bring me back but, it didn't exactly work right and I became what you see. Then, Amelie or rather who she became offered me a spot in talon and I decided to join. To be completely honest I was mad at Overwatch so I gladly joined." Jack tried to process his words, did he hate him? "Why did you or do you hate Overwatch?" "It's because it was such a mess! Look at all of you! Amelie was kidnapped and she murdered her husband and she almost killed Ana. You guys got bombed which wiped out pretty much all of you!" Jack's heart tightened at his anger and his expression flashed hurt and shock. Gabe let out a sigh again, a frustrated sigh, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten angry at you." "It's ok. I'm just happy you're here."

Gabe felt himself soften at how much Jack actually cared for him. He forget that Jack was heavily in love with him somehow. "Listen, Jack, I was supposed to get rid of you but, I don't think I can do that. So we're going to have to leave to my quarters." Jack nodded and complied as Gabe lead him out of the room.

They reached Gabe's quarters and he changed into a more casual outfit. His skin was slightly darker and his eyes were lightly dusted with red. Jack didn't care, all that mattered to him was that he was back. Jack hugged him again, cherishing the feeling of him, it was as if he was afraid that he'd disappear. He felt himself crying again, unable to let go.

"I'll never forget you. I love you..."

"I love you too, Jack."
