Third person

Sly groaned as he shut the book to fan-fic number 4109. He hated all of them. They were all the same and all seemed to either make him bored or make him sick. He glanced over at the grandfather clock that stood proudly at the other end of the small room. One am. He had been reading these sickening stories for almost five hours and it was driving him insane. He shivered as he rose from his chair. "I'm going to bed," He said as he looked over to his friend who was too engaged in the book to care. Sly shuffled out of the room and hurried to his bedroom. He jumped onto his bed laid there. To help him sleep, he hummed to himself.

'I'm a flame, you're the fire'

The dark haired boy thought himself as nothing. Well, nothing without Jess. When she's gone he was gone. He hadn't been the same since she left. Well, nothing had remained the same since she left. A flame short of fire will go out.

'I'm the dark in need of light'

The light in his world was taken along with his wife. Since his wife was the light in his world. He needs her. She needs him.

'When we touch, you inspire'

For him to continue to grow he will need his fire. A flame becomes greater when with fire. A flame becomes nothing without fire. Sly becomes greater when with Jess. Sly becomes nothing without Jess.

'Feel it changing me tonight'

His mood instantly changes when thinking about Jess. He has almost got her back. Almost.

'Take me up, take me higher'

Sly wants to leave, he always has. He has always wanted to go somewhere different. Where? Well, that he doesn't know.

'There's a world not far from here'

That's the place. Asgard. A place where they won't be judged and won't have such high expectations. A place where they are safe. A place where they belong.

'we can dance in desire'

Well, that was what they were both doing now. Dancing in desire. The desire to see one and other before their love, like a flame, burns out.

'Or we can burn in love tonight'

This is also what they were both doing at that moment. Burning in their love for each other.  They were consumed by their passion and desire and danced in it.

'Our hearts are like fire stones'

Sly shifted.

'And when they strike, we feel the love'

Everyone will feel their love when they strike.

'Sparks will fly, they ignite our bones'

Sly shifted.

'And when they strike, we light up the world'

Sly didn't enjoy showing off too much. However, he could admit that he and Jess made this world a brighter place. When she left it was dark again. When she returns, when she strikes back, they will light up the world.

'Our hearts are like Firestones
And when they strike, we feel the love
Sparks will fly, they ignite our bones
And when they strike, we light up the world
We light up the world'

When they strike. If they strike. Will they strike? When they strike.

'I'm from X, you're from Y, perfect strangers in the night'

Sly knew that they were completely different. He was raised by electronics, robots and technology. She was raised by gods, the corrupted and expectations.  They were like strangers. Perfect strangers. Yet they were both deeply in love with each other.

'Here we are, come together'

This is what he wishes for the most. Them to be together once again. But here they were, miles apart.

'To the world, we'll testify'

The world expected everything from them. A genius who has an army of killer robots and a goddess who has a kingdom in the skies and can use lightning at her will. Everyone thinks that they were unstoppable, unkillable, unbeatable. However, no one realizes that they are all completely different things.

 'Our hearts are like Firestones
And when they strike, we feel the love
Sparks will fly, they ignite our bones
And when they strike, we light up the world'

When they strike. If they strike. Will they strike? When they strike.

'We light up the world'

Sly anticipated for the day. The day where he will find her. The day she will give up hiding. The day she returns. The day they will be together again. The day they light up the world.

Sly shifted as he finally found a comfortable position. He still had trouble sleeping and his nightmares haunted him. It had been two years since Jess was here, yet he never got used to sleeping on his own. His eyelids felt heavy as he sunk into his bed. He glanced over the room once more before falling into a dreamless sleep.
