I am lucky to have a friend like Luna. I had a secret that day. I wasn't sure if I should talk to Luna about it, I didn't want to make her sad too. I was moving. . I needed to tell Luna. I am her only real friend and I am moving to France. I was terrified of her reaction.
When the doorbell rang I ran over opened the door and saw Luna quite in a rush.
She was wearing shorts and a "I'm a unicorn" T-shirt. Her long blonde hair looked in perfect harmony with her blueish green eyes. I think she looked beautiful, as always. I had always thought that she looked quite similar to Luna Lovegood on Harry Potter. I was jealous of how she looked.
I had chestnut brown pixie cut hair, brown eyes and liked wearing comfy stuff. That day I was wearing yoga pants and a purple sweatshirt. I looked normal, without effort, she looked pretty, without effort. Even if I had a slight jealousy of her but she was my best friend. My closest friend. We had actually never fought. We were untouchable.
When she came in she said:
-"Hey Jade, hey Miss Catherine" said Luna examining the boxes in our house
Yeah, I forgot to say: my mom is a "miss". She never got married or got in a relationship. She adopted me when I was 15 days old. She was a a family friend of my biological mom and dad, and after they passed out on that terrifying car accident she decided to adopt me.
Luna was clever, as you know already. She could read facial expressions and could do the connection between: not much furniture+ a lot of boxes+ me being extremely sad= probably moving as much as a decent human being.
Luna looked petrified and in a emotionless voice she said:
-"You are moving."
