I was only 20 when I became a father. The mother, Kim, wasn't the sharpest tool in the tool box but yet neither was I. When she fell pregnant we figured we'd give it a try. The day she was born I saw my mother's face in hers, she was so beautiful. I named her Alisson after my mother, but called her Alice for short.
Everyday was the same, Alice woke up to my kiss, and by night she'd fall asleep in my arms to the sound of my voice.
I'd do my 9-5 and come home to my baby Alice in Kim's arms. Kim would stay home to look after Alice while I was at work. Everything felt perfect, I had made something of myself, a father, and I had my darling Alice.
