He went to school the next day, acted as if nothing happened. He kissed his mother's cheek goodbye before leaving and went to school.
He couldn't hide his smile and at the same time he kept thinking, "Is it okay?". He answered his own question, "Of course, it is. I'm not hurting anyone, am I?".
He greeted Erin good morning just like how he would everyday.
But instead of going the direction to his classroom, he went straight to the music room.
Luckily, no one goes there because everyone is in their rooms during morning.
He gently held the doorknob and twisted it. The door creaked with the little push he made and peaked through the little space.
No one was there. He freely opened the door and went inside. His heart was beating louder and faster than usual but not too much. He hopped his way to the piano seat and placed his bag beside him. He played with the keys gently so no one would hear him.
Each key he pressed made him smile. He tried to play Mary Had A Little Lamb through trial and error. His eyes formed a crescent when he finished the song.
Riiing!
First period has just started.
What do I do?
He asked himself in panic. He decided to go immediately to Mr. Jin's office. He took his bag, turned off the lights, and looked back to check if he left an evidence of him going in the room. He waited for the teachers to go to the classrooms then he dashed to the office.
He knocked on the door and patiently waited for a person to answer him. "Come in!" Jin answered.
Hearing his voice, he felt reassured.
He peaked throught the space but this time with a smile. "Mr. Jin!" he said a bit loud in delight, rushing to him.
"Boy, why are you here? The bell just rang," Jin told him and patted his head.
"Well," his eyes started to focus on nothing, doing unconscious hand gestures that shows he's nervous, "I'm scared to go back to class."
He hesitated if he should tell Jin about his secret hangout place, but he decided that it was a place for his privacy.
"That's gonna be tough but Yoongi, you got to understand the importance of school. Your parents pay for your tuition fee to learn and study. You go to school because you need to prepare for your future and if you don't do that, then you're going to have a hard time living." Jin rubbed Yoongi's back to reassure him that everything is going to be fine and that it's for the best.
"But can't I just ask money from my parents?" he asked.
Jin giggled with this and placed his hand on Yoongi's shoulder.
"Your parents will nearly retire by that time. You need to learn on how to be independent. If you had kids, they will ask money from you. If you ask money from your parents and they can't work anymore, then where will you get money?" Jin took a pen and paper.
"Take this and give it to your teacher. You won't be excused next time, kid. Okay?" he nodded in response. "I don't want you walking around just anywhere at any time. Stay out of trouble." "Thank you, Mr. Jin." He sent him off with a sweet smile and closed the door.
