C H A P T E R 7

"This is how to be a heartbreaker, Boys they like a little danger."

I run outside after Mickey and his brother, Jamie also their friend Tim as they go to search for Ian who supposedly attacked Mandy at the Gallagher house last night, my top exposing my skin as none of the buttons were done up. "Mickey wait up !" I grab onto his arm as I try to catch my breath as they were quite the distance away from me. "I thought I told you to stay in the house Em, let the big boys handle this." I fiddle to do up my buttons as I feel exposed on the streets, "Yeah I know what you said, I ain't deaf but he's my friend Mick and he wouldn't do that becau-" 

I stopped before I announced he was gay then he would be super pissed at me. "Because why Em ?" Looking in Mickey's eyes and stopping him before saying, "Because Mick, Mandy isn't Ian's type like at all, trust me." He shook my arm of him and carried on walking towards the tunnel under a bridge but saying before he left, "That's my sister Em and no matter what Gallagher's going to pay." I stared at him not believing he was still going to hurt my best friend and I couldn't change his mind. 

After making sure Ian was okay, though he had a huge mess to clean up with Kash 'cause of Mickey and Co. I set out to look for him to maybe try to convince him again that Ian was innocent and Mandy may or may not be lying to him. When I finally found him, he was heading towards Lip and that pig, Karen when I caught up I heard Mick say, "Hey, got a B+ on that English paper you wrote for me." Lip smiles. "Well, spread the word- Could use the business." Lip and I make eye contact as I stand next to Mickey. "I heard they're letting Iggy out of juvie." Mickey puts his arm around me as he saw Lip was starting to stare at me, "Yeah, yeah. Terry drove up their to go and get him. Throwing a party for him or some shit this weekend." Lip starts to chuckle a bit, "Probably back in before then, yeah ?" Mickey copies him and chuckles now. "Ha, ha, probably." Mick's eyes narrow at Lip and his face is serious. "So, Ian messed with Mandy." Lip's face twists with confusion, "Ian ?" He looks to Karen then me. "That's highly unlikely." 

I look at Mick and give him my 'see believe me now'  face, still he turns back to Lip and says. "That's what Mandy told us." Lip starts to shake his head, "Well trust me, you got the wrong guy." Mickey still wasn't having any of it, "Right, the problem is that Ian has been avoiding us all day and uh, someones got to get a beat-down 'til we find him." Lip clicks his tongue, "Can you make an exception ?" Mickey shake his head. "Not really, though." Lip looks at me pleading with his eyes for me to say something but then I remembered what he said and how he ditched me for that tramp so I look down at the ground. "Well maybe, uh, Mandy's confusing Ian with any of the 400 dudes in the 10th grade she's already blown." I see Karen move to the side as Mick places me behind him to hit Lip with the pool cue he had behind his back.

 I opened the door to my house to hear, "Emily Alissa Davis! Get you're butt here, right now !" 'Wow, she sounds angry. what did I do now ?' I thought as I shuffled my way to the living room where she was watching Law and Order  on TV. "Hey Jen." "Don't 'Hey, Jen.'  me ! Where were you last night, you were ment to be here to meet my boyfriend Andy, remember ?" I groaned as the words left her lips. "I'm not going to lie Jen but I forgot due to the fact Lip and I had a falling out, so I went and stayed with Mandy at her house. Look, I'm sorry that I didn't show up but a good thing might of came out of it." I wiggle my eyebrows at her, she tries to bite back a smile as she tries to make me think she's still not amused. 

"Okay, you are right about that and it was amazing b-b-but that's not the point Em, the point is-" "Is, I should of been there no matter what because it would mean the world to you for the two people you care and love about most to get along with each other, right ?" She nodded her head and brought me into a hug. "Where does he work ?" "Huh? Why, what are you going to do ?" "So I can meet him and get to know him for you since I missed dinner." "Also, Jen I won't be back 'til tomorrow morning as I have a few deals then I'm staying at Mandy's if that's alright ?" She gives me the address and pecks me on the side of the head, telling me it's fine and to be safe before she sits back down and continues to watch TV.

I walked down the empty street as I had two out of three successful deals tonight and I just had this last one to do then I could finally get high with Mandy and Mickey, when I arrived at the house, it looked clean and big compared to the other houses on the street which all need new paint jobs as well as cleaning up some of the front yards. I ring the door bell and is faced with a blonde haired middle age woman with perfectly white, straight teeth smiling at me, "Hello, can I help you ?" "Uh, yeah. Does a Peter live here by any chance ?" She smiled at me once more before turning towards the stairs. 

"Oh Peter, there is a lovely young lady here for you." "Do come in dear," I walked inside and it looked much better than the front of the house. "Can I ask why you are here to see peter before my husband and I leave ?" I nod as I place my bag next to me on the floor. "Well, I need some help with science and my friend told me that Peter could help me and can I ask where you are leaving to go ?" "Oh yes, Peter is very good at science and we are going away on holiday for two weeks to Paris." She smiles as we hear footsteps coming down the stairs and there I see Peter for the first time.
