I got up from the milky white bed as my eyes stung terribly.I ran to the washroom attached to the room and splashed cold water on my face.Then I saw my reflection.My eyes were red and puffy due to the tears that I held back for a long time in order to bid good bye to Jenny with a smile.I know she has done the same.Her eyes will hurt a lot due to crying.
Three hours ago,after helping me in arranging my things in the dorm, she looked at me.I knew those green eyes for years.They almost begged me not to cry.They had a long night to cry.Then she told me handing a dream catcher,"Look,I made this for you.But you will not need it."I looked at her expectantly."I know you will be a great student,but please make at least one friend here so that you can experience things like pillow fight,bunk etc."she gave a half smile."So I will..um..meet you-"I cut her off by hugging tightly.She jerked back but steadied herself and hugged me back.
"Now,we don't want a sad beginning.do we?Remember your promise princess?You won't make us weak.Please don't cry.I will give you the stinky red socks which you wanted to wear when you were ten.Please."she whispered in my ear making soothing circles on my back.
I choked on my laugh before I could cry."I don't need them but I won't cry anymore sis.You can gift another similar pair on Christmas."
"Yup.We will go for a lot of shopping during your vacation."she tried to sound enthusiastic.
"okay.Now get out stupid.I need to do a grand entry dance."
"Alright princess.Take care.Don't think you are free.I will check on you.Don't you dare to have a hot boyfriend without my permission."I thought she wasn't serious until I saw her face.
"Love you sis.Take care of yourself."I pushed her out of my room.
"Goodbye,princess."she kissed my forehead and went outside towards the car.
After handling everything safely my eyes gave up.I closed the door loudly and threw myself on the bed and cried my eyes out until now.I placed my hand on the soft feathers of the dream catcher.It gave a warm sensation to my whole body.I remembered all those moments when Jenny kept her protective hands on me and all of my fear had gone in a blink of eye.

I came out of the room for a refreshment.It's almost evening.The balcony in front of my room provided a perfect view of the purplish sky.I sucked a deep breath and closed my eyes to absorb the peace and calm down myself.Several noises were disturbing my mind.It lessened them almost instantly.Jenny always asks me to do that when I cry.
I checked my cell phone and saw a text message from Jenny.'I reached home sweety. Going for a meeting.I'll talk later tonight. XD.' A smile made its way to my lips.I saw some other girls coming in my way.Well, they were not coming for me but I didn't want to stay there anymore.So I got into my room and grabbed some chips to eat.
I was half way through my chips, the door of my room flew open.A girl of my age entered inside with a guitar and a huge bag which she barely managed to drag.Her waist long hair was messily braided.She kept everything on the bed at the other side of the house and turned towards me.She almost ran towards me and jumped on the couch in front of my bed."Hi roomie!you are so beautiful.ha!sorry..I am Zara Young,your sweet and innocent roommate, who will never bother you for next three years.Basically I am a good person but sometimes my mom says I act like crazy.I am certain I won't do that here.So am I mad?well I forgot to ask you what's your favorite band..um..I mean what's your name?"She finally breathed and the bag of chips I was eating fell from my hand.

"It's...Annie Clifton."was all I managed to say after watching her face intently for a long minute.
"Wow.such a sweet name.and I didn't feel bad when you stared at me for a minute or so.People do that often.You managed to talk earlier.I can play my guitar for you some day.Just tell me we are bffs and you are single!!"the shine in her brown eyes made me smile..
"Yeah.I'm single.In fact, I have never dated anyone."I said.She dramatically fell from the couch and crept on to my bed."You must be kidding.I told it because I thought both are impossible.Everybody runs away after my beautiful introduction.So my mom never allows me to introduce myself in front of the guest."
"I'm not kidding.It's true but about the bff thing-"She cut me off by hugging me tightly."Oh shut up my sweet dear best friend,I finally found you.I never expected you to be shy."she stood beside my bed and smiled gracefully as if she is going to ask for a date,"I've been waiting for a century to meet you miss Clifton."
"Hey,did you just tried to quote Twilight?"I was completely amused.
She rolled her eyes and said,"Obviously No!I changed it a bit."We both laughed hard at this.
Before going to be the single audience of Zara's 'room guitar concert for beautiful roomie', I texted Jenny,"Sis,Jump like a frog where ever you are standing.I made a friend."
