I was putting everything in my bookbag when I suddenly felt sparks on my hand and a tingly feeling in my stomach.

I looked up to see...

Ryan

"Hey Isa, what class do you have next?" He asked looking at me. "I have AP literature," I said getting my textbook out of my locker.

"Me too, do you have Mr. Quentin?" He asked.

"Yeah, room 442," I replied looking at my schedule then turned back to him with a smile.

"Come on let's walk together before we're late." I suddenly felt little sparks going off all over my body when he placed his hand on my lower back and kept it there, it felt somewhat weird but it was comforting.

Well, as comforting it can be for a stranger to guide you somewhere.

We walked to the big classroom making small talk here and there trying to get to know each other in a small amount of time from my locker and to the classroom that was just a couple steps away.

"Hey Isa, I want to have lunch with you so you can meet some of my friends. I'm am sure they will all like you I know that for sure, but if you already made plans with other people it's okay." Ryan said speaking to me right when we got of the classroom. I never ate lunch with anyone, I can just sit under a tree and be good all by myself.

"No," my brain shouted at me.

I was always by myself and grew up as a damn loner, no one was there for us and I'll be crazy to not accept his invitation.

"You are allowed to hang out with people and be surrounded by them. Make friends so you won't be a damn loner anymore." My brain continued.

I'm having a mental conversation with myself

"Sure," I said after a while of thinking and gave him a small smile.

We both walked to the cafeteria that was packed with other high schoolers. As we made our way to the lunch line that died down a little I noticed everyone watching every step Ryan and me took.

Can they just go back to their lives?

There was so much food I couldn't decide. I finally decided to grab a little bit if everything I got one slice of cheese pizza, some chips, a green apple, and a bottle of water.

"Come this way," Ryan said leading me to a table where Justin and Emma were already seated.

"Hey Emma, hey Justin." Emma and Justin both greeted me back and I suddenly heard a weird noise like a growl that a dog would do when you are trying to take a toy you gave them away from them

"Did you guys hear that?" I said looking around the table and the cafeteria.

"Does your school have pet dogs?" I asked looking around again not seeing any dogs around.

"No." Everyone at the table said and laughed but they all had a look on their face as if they were hiding something.

"That was weird." I shrugged my shoulder and introduced myself to the table.

"Hey, I'm Isa," I said.

"Hey I'm Jasmine, that's Kayla, Max, Robin and you already know Ryan, Justin, and Emma."

"So Isa how do you like it so far?" Emma asked quietly pulling me to her side, looking at me with concern written all over her face.

"It's good so far making friends, it's a process in making," I told her but told her in a whisper I don't need people knowing my business.
