He opened the door, and crossed the threshold of the apartment. There was no noise when he entered inside. The habitat was plunged in the darkness, and had lost the warm and friendly aspect that it had once known. It had almost seemed a place unknown to him, as if he had mistaken his address. Ishido sighed.

They had left everything in their places, and had decided to take only the main things. His damn father had decided to leave the furniture for him. One of the only  things he did well for him. His room was intact, as he had left when he had "moved" to the suite offered by Senguuji when he became his protégé. And he couldn't lie. Being here was comforting. Perhaps to withdraw a moment from his daily life would do him the greatest good. He needed it.

Ishido entered the kitchen, and when he opened the refrigerator he sadly stared at the inside. He had to go shopping. He checked the time, and found that the supermarket not far from home was still open. It would only close at 8:00 pm, and it was only 6:36 pm. And then, he preferred to eat a homemade meal than a dish to be heated in the microwave.

And Ishido was once again outside. After going out, he saw his red Ferrari. But the weather was so nice that he decided to go on foot. He had to get away from anything that appealed to the world of the Fifth Sector and all that was with it. Walk to shopping for the evening meal. It would not be the Emperor who would do that.

The ride was pleasant, despite that Ishido had to make an effort to pretend not to have noticed the cornered glances of passers-by, or even their murmurs as he passed. One of the most influential  people in Japan didn't go unnoticed. With his hands in his pockets, Ishido crossed the pedestrian crossing, and quickly found himself in the commercial street, where many shops weren't so stranger to him. Nothing had changed. Even the Rai Rai Ken still had the same signboard. He entered the mini-supermarket without a glance behind him.

It had been a long time since he had cooked. Yet, Ishido felt inspired for his dinner tonight. Yuuka loved his curry rice. He smiled as he took a bag of white rice. He remembered all the times when, very little, he absolutely wanted to prepare his little sister's meal. The first time he had cooked, he had discovered that he had great talent as a cook. He had to get that from his deceased mother.

Ishido didn't linger too long in the shelf. He passed quickly to the shelves of fruits and vegetables, feeling the food to check if they were ripe. There was the sound of the automatic doors, which didn't get him out of his check. Very weak voices at the beginning, grew. The blond froze on the spot.

"Endou, let's go first to the vegetable shelf".

"We've had enough at home. Why would you want to buy more ?"

"I found a recipe that Kino had given me, and I'd like to test it !"

"I don't want to have food poisoning..."

"Sorry ?"

The blond heard the man in front of him, on the other side of the shelf, gibbering words with no meaning. There was only a cupboard with compartments that separated him from his former best friend... Endou.

Ishido came out of his thoughts when someone shoved him with his cart. He apologized, and put the tomato in its place. The till was on his left. That should be alright. The blond checked if he had everything he needed, before going along the shelf where he had been a few minutes before.

"By the way, Endou... About Gouenji".

He stopped suddenly. He swallowed and raised his head to where the voices came from.

"What is it about Gouenji ?"

The brown's voice seemed to be full of bitterness, and a certain petty anger, which Ishido had no difficulty in perceiving.
