After school I stumble back to my house, every so often taking a look back making sure no one is following me. It always was a phobia of mine that somene would follow me home and either kill me or expose my secret, I had a severe case of Paranoia, for the right reasons, being a reader really adds stress to my life.

"Hey Josh." A voice rings into my head, It's of course none other than Jared.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I reply back.

"I heard you got rejected bro." Jared says with a slight chuckle, at that moment I want to raise my middle finger to him.

"Yeah, whatever. I am over Veronica." I reply with a mumble, walking back to my house. I hear Jared sigh by my mind.

"Bro, I can introduce you to a new chick if you want."

"I would like that, but she probably wouldn't like me back." I say quietly.

"I'm sure you two will find something in common, look I have to go prepare. See you man." Jared says. My mind fuzzes up a little. He's gone.

I throw my backpack onto the floor and let out a deep sigh, walking to my bed and plopping myself onto my bed. It didn't take me long to fall into a deep sleep.

Once again I had the same dream, only this time. A girl walked out, she had blue eyes and black hair. She came close to me and whispered. "You are a reader.. I know you." My eyes shot open as I sat up in my bed.

After a while of playing Under Heavy Fire I had to put my controller down and get ready for the party. I dressed in a dress shirt and tie, then decorated it with a black tie that reached all the way to the top of my stomach, I then slipped on dress pants and tied it with a belt, I looked presentable.

I marched into the club, it surprised me how much girls were grinding on males, I scanned the room for Veronica, she wasn't on the dance floor. It almost felt relieving as I walked to a booth that Jared reserved, then I was pulled back from the back of my collar. I turned around, I couldn't believe who it was, it was the girl from my dream.

She offered to dance with me, I agreed. I never danced with a girl before, it would also give me a chance to check her mind. She brought me to the dance floor, then began grinding her hips against mine. It didn't pleasure me, I was too focused on her. However her thoughts didn't channel over to me. I focused harder, but the only thing got back was a fuzzy feeling in my head, she turned me to me with a frown. "Stop trying to read me." I felt the hair at the back of my neck stand up.
