Jared came running by, finding me dancing with the woman. He came running up to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Damn! You scored!" He said reassuringly. "Jared, we need to talk." I replied. The goofy grin on his face soon disappeared. "Alright, let's go to the booth." We walked together, the dance scene soon disappeared, the girl was probably waiting for me back at the dance floor.
"What is it, man?" Jared sat back on a couch. "Jared, she knows our secret!" I told him, he chuckled and looked at me. "You're kidding, right?"
"No."
Jared got up and peaked out of the curtain, she was at the bar drinking soda. "We need to get out of here." Jared said, I nodded in agreement as me and Jared walked quickly for the door, I felt someone grab at my collar and pull me into a different booth. "Shit! Let me go!" I struggled, only to hear a whimper behind me. It was Veronica.
"Stephen.. Left me a quarter through the dance."
"What did you expect?!" I spoke in a half panic, she broke into tears when I said that. I looked over to the main entrance where several men in suits walked in, I then glanced over to see Jared leaving through the back.
"I'm sorry, let's go outside and grab some fresh air, shall we?"
Before she could even respond I took her by the wrist and brought her out the back door where Jared was waiting in front of a windowless white van.
"What the fuck are you doing to me?!" Veronica yelled as she tried to leave my grip.
"I took the owner's keys on the way out here." Jared said with a smirk as he jingled the van's keys in front of my face. This scared Veronica and I because we both knew Jared was underage to drive.
"How did you even manage to get them?!" I spoke in a hushed yell. But before I could get a reply, the club exploded in flames, the club erupted in screams. Jared ran to open the slide door, then got into the drivers seat. I helped Veronica inside as we closed the door behind us, as we drove away from the sight I couldn't help but to look through the back window at the burning wreck. But I only got to see the reading woman, and several suited men, majority of them holding pistols at their sides, the others holding Jerry cans. I had no idea where we were going, but as far away from here would do us good.
