Freddy

"Alright, Fredward,"

"Not my name."

"Whatever, just put those last few dishes away and then we're set." Summer smiles at me. As soon as I put the last plate in the cabinet she just smiles harder, man I love that smile. "And we are officially MOVED IN!!!" She screams.

"Woo hoo!" I say, giving her the biggest hug I have.

As we are celebrating our accomplishment by trying to find something on Netflix to watch, we hear a knock at the door. I go to get it, and am greeted by a blueberry pie. And two people of course, but let's be honest, the only thing that matters is the pie.

"Hi. We're your new neighbors, I'm Kathy, and this is my wife Abby." The perky redhead holding the pie says.

"Nice to meet you both." I hadn't realized Summer snuck up behind me. She places her left hand on my shoulder and accepts the pie with her right. As her hand touches my shoulder, there's something different in the contact. Something new that I haven't ever noticed before. It was scary. But...I liked it. As she lets go, the nerves in my body settle, and the feeling slips away. I decide to shake it off.

"Well aren't you two a cute couple?" Abby says in what I assume is an Australian accent.

"Oh no, We're Just Friends." I say as Summer puts the pie on the counter. (a/n: whaddup story title reference?)

"Ah, well, if you need anything we're just down the hall in apartment 7D." Kathy says.

"Well, thank you so much, we most certainly will." I smile as I close the door and the couple walks down the hall.

"That was weird." Summer says.

"The gay couple?" I say, a little worried at her response.

"What? NO of course not, they were adorable. I mean, the fact that they thought we're a couple."

"Well a boy and a girl living together and not, you know, BEING together is kinda unheard of." I state, knowing it's true.

"Well Fredward,"

"Still not my name" I interrupt.

"I say we continue our search for a good Netflix item." She walks closer to me, and place both hands on my shoulders. I know it's for dramatic effect, but I got the feeling again. Oh well. She keeps talking anyways. "How about we look in....the Horror section."

"Oh you know I'm down for that."

"Fantastic Fredward."

We plop back down on the couch. "NOT my name."

"Oh you love it." She taunts.

Summer

I have no clue what just happened. When I touched Freddy's shoulder, I felt something. Like, like a zing or something. Then those ladies called us a couple, and, I don't know what I felt.

To make sure it wasn't a fluke, I made sure to touch him again, more obviously this time, and it happened again. The zing. The little shock of whatever it was.

As we watched The Shining for the twelfth time this summer, all I could think about was that zing.

What is it?
