Alone with Humans (Exo FF)

Incident?

I went home. Alone. We all were tired so we didn't sing. It was already dark and I went through the dark streets. There was nearly nobody so I had my earphones in my ears and listen to some music. But suddenly my leg hurt and with it my head. I felt dizzy, my whole body was shaking and I tumbled. I fell down, grabbing my leg. It felt like I couldn't move it. The pain filled my whole body. I sat down, my bag against a wall. I closed my eyes to bear the pain somehow but it doesn't work. I breathed heavily. Suddenly two guys dressed fully in black appeared.
'Why now?', I just thought.
"Hey girl", one guy said.
"What are you doing here alone? It's not save for young girls to go out alone when it's so late."
The two of them laughed.
"Go away", I was just able to say this. My body was shaking. The other guy grabbed my hand, I tried to shake it off but I was too weak.
"What if we don't want to?", he grinned.
"We just want to have a little bit fun." I felt anger coming up. Why did such persons even exist? Do they even know what they're doing? How can people act like this? My thoughts crushed into each other and my head started to hurt very badly. My mind went blank and everything went black....
I opened my eyes. The morning sun was shining through the windows. I looked around. I was in my room! And I overslept! I quickly got up, dressed me up and made me ready for school. I ran to the kitchen, took my bowl and finished my breakfast in one shot. My father sat on the table and read his newspaper.
"I'm late!", I just shouted.
I wanted to ran out of the house but my father said:"There were two men found dead yesterday on the street."
I stopped, obviously shocked.
"It's there, where you use to go to school. Please come home before it's dark, ok?"
I didn't know what to say, I just nodded and then went out of the house. I wasn't that late so I didn't have to run. I walked through the streets thinking of what happened yesterday but I couldn't remember. I arrived at the place of the suicide. The corpses weren't there anymore but you could still see the blood. And there was very much blood! The police was there, observing. I heard them talking that there was no evidence of who it could had been and that the two guys should had been caught for robbery and raping. One police officer said that it was someone with the strength of ten bears and that it couldn't be possible. I felt weird. What happened yesterday? Did I have to do something with the death of this two men? I headed to school, trying to remember what happened, but failed. I entered the classroom a short time before the bell rang. I sighed and sat at my place. Everybody was talking about the news of the two men and they were seriously worried. Even the Ice-princes were talking about it.
Then Minseok turned to me and said:"Melody, you go that street, where it happened, right?"
I nodded.
"We will bring you home from today on."
I looked at him surprised. I think it was the first time for him talking with me that much. I nodded again. Minseok looked happy and a little bit relieved. Then the teacher came in. I wanted to concentrate on English class. But we only talked about the incident. The teacher asked us how we felt about it. I didn't want to say anything to this subject so I turned myself off and just drew something on a piece of paper. In the next class we just talked about it again. Again and again. In every class we just talked about the incident. It was more tiring then normal classes. Finally it was lunch break. I took my tomato juice package and waited for Tzuyu to arrive. She came enthusiastically and happily as always and shouted:"Mely! Let's go eat lunch together."
I smiled and we went to the rooftop.
Tzuyu:"You heard about that incident, right?"
I sighed and nodded.
Tzuyu:"This will be my great chance! I will write about it and send it to a big journal company! I have to find evidence for this!"
She was so excited. I didn't think it would turn out like this.
"How do you plan to do it?", I asked. "With you of course. We have to ask everyone who lives near that place if they had seen something or if they have any suspicions", she replied.
I didn't know what to say, I just brought out a "With me?!"
Tzuyu smiled and nodded.
She hugged me and said:"We can do it! It's not that difficult."
I forced myself to a smile. I didn't know what to think about it but I knew that I definitely don't want to hurt her so I just nodded. When the bell rang we headed back to our classes and the continue of the torture began. I just wanted to go home.
Finally the classes were over. Baekhyun ran to me and said:"I will definitely hear you sing today!"
I just looked at him not understandingly.
"We have singing club today! Don't tell me you forgot", he added.
"Ah yeah", I replied.
"Let's go!" he grabbed my arm and started to pull me. I just managed to take my bag and my jacket before he pulled me out of the classroom. We arrived at the music room. The other princes were already waiting. I put my things on a chair and sighed. Everybody was looking at me. Honestly, they were staring.
"Are we going to start or do you plan on to just look at me?", I asked.
I didn't want to be that rude but the whole day was annoying and I was just tired and wanted to go home. The others were silent, some were looking away. "Let's start! I wanna listen to your singing!", Baekhyun broke the silence. Everybody nodded. We started heading to the piano in the middle of the room. Kyungsoo gave me some notes for a song. Yixing sat on the piano and started playing. So did Chanyeol on the guitar. The others started singing. It was beautiful. I tried to remember the melody and tried to sing along. But because I became really nervous all of a sudden, I sang really quietly. The song ended. I took a deep breath. My voice wasn't good at all compared to the boys. Jungmyeon looked at me like he knew what I thought.
He said:"Don't worry, you sound nice. We can get better together."
He smiled at me and I couldn't help but to smile back.
