Louis' POV
Soon after the movie Audrey fell fast asleep on my shoulder, I didn't want to wake her up especially after her being ill so I figured we could just spend the night here. My mind starts to wander as I lie next to her unable to sleep. I hope she's okay, life on the road isn't for everybody and I wouldn't be surprised if her illness had something to do with the change in environment and late nights on the bus. She hasn't said anything to me but I know her and she wouldn't have anyway. she hates when I worry and I just wish she would realize that I wouldn't have to worry if she would just tell me what was going on and we could work through it, the last thing I want is for her to hit her breaking point even if that means that she will need to go home. I'll miss her but everyone has noticed that she hates this damn bus and I'm not going to put her through hell just because I'm selfish and want her by my side all the time. I don't even know for sure what will happen, I'm just hoping that she has a flu and she won't want to leave. I remember her mentioning that she had motion sickness but only a little bit and she said it was only on water. I can see that escalating after spending weeks on an oversized bus though.
"Louis?" I hear Harry's voice whisper from the door.
"Yeah?" I reply trying desperately to be quite and not wake Audrey up.
"Why are you out here?"
"Harry what do you want?"
"I just want to talk."
"Well now isn't really a good time." Audrey begins to stir and I sigh as she yawns clutching on to my chest before lifting her head so her face is directly in front of mine. A lazy smile spreads across her face and Harry erases from my memory leaving me weak under her gaze.
"What's going on?" She asks quietly, her eyes momentarily leave mine to glance at Harry before she scoots away from me slightly.
"Hi Harry, what's up?"
"Uh nothing really, I just wanted to speak with Lou for a minute."
She looks at me waiting for me to stand up as if she thought the idea of her being more important was silly, I could tell she knew I didn't want to wake her up just to have a tedious conversation with Harry and she would probably scold me later for it.
"Well go on then, I'll wait for you in here if you'd like." She smiles nodding her head in Harry's direction.
I groan standing up and following Harry over to where he was putting his shoes on, I wondered why we needed to leave the bus just to talk but I figured it must be important so I keep my mouth shut as Harry slips a beanie over his unruly curls.
It's almost two in the morning now so I can't imagine there being too many fans outside.
Harry slowly opens the door and peaks out checking if the coast is clear before stepping out and waving for me to follow.
"So what's up?" I ask as I quickly fall into step with him letting him guide me down the dark street, a shiver runs down my spine and I move slightly closer to him for warmth.
"Was Audrey sick today?" He asks, his eyes never leaving the ground in front of him as he walks, effortlessly ignoring the cold even in his thin t-shirt. I'm wearing a sweater and I'm frozen.
"Yeah, she was feeling dizzy and then she puked in the toilet." Harry stopped walking for a moment smiling at me before pulling off his beanie and placing it on my head. "Thanks." I laugh.
"Do you think Audrey could be getting sick because of the bus? She does get motion sickness, she told me a few months back."
"I was just thinking that actually, I don't think she's happy on the bus."
"Louis, I think you should ask her if she wants to go home." Harry sighs and I realize that this isn't the first time the thought has crossed Harry's mind and I bow my head in shame. "It's the right thing to do, I know it will be hard but we all want Audrey to be happy and she just doesn't seem well."
"Do you think Madi would go home with her if she decided to leave?"
"Probably."
"Well I'll talk to her about it tomorrow and see what she really wants. If she wants to go home I'm not going to stop her." I jump slightly when a cat jumps from a trash can, moving closer to Harry for protection in the dark alleyway.
Harry chuckles putting an arm around my shoulder before spinning us around, I silently thank him as we make our way back to the bus and he opens the door for me letting my enter first, I smile slipping off my shoes and glancing over at Audrey who has fallen back to sleep. I don't blame her though, it is pretty late.
"Night Lou." Harry whispers slipping through the sliding door into the bunk room, I nod making my way over to Audrey who is currently sitting up against the couch in a position that can't be comfortable. I gently lift her into my arms before lying her back down with her head on the pillow, she squirms yawning before turning over so her back is to me.
I smile lifting my shirt over my head and lying down beside her quickly drifting off to sleep.
