The Story of a Knight and his Princess (2)
Stretching my arm out, I grabbed the phone and unlike every other teenager, I turned the alarm off straight away. Double checking the time – six thirty five – I dragging myself to the bathroom and got showered and by exactly six fifty five, I walked out my bedroom and walked downstairs.
“Good morning, sir. Breakfast is ready and it is all in that brown paper bag on the kitchen counter.”
“Thank you, Thomas. I will see you in school later.” I waved to the general direction to where Thomas was without looking, heading straight to the kitchen. Having grabbed the breakfast, I headed straight for the door, jumping into my car, and drove down the same road I drive down every single day – to the Aoyamas.
As I got to the huge black gate, I reached out to type the code into the security pin pad. The Aoyamas are filthy rich. Last time I checked, the Aoyama family were in every single industry, business and country. You name it, and the chances are someone in the Aoyama family would be either running the project or funding the whole thing.
Though surprisingly for a family this rich, once you step into the mansion, instead of seeing gold statuses and real animal skin hanging around, it’s all really plain. It was all Anna’s idea.
Annabel Primrose Aoyama, my princess.
Just like every other day, I walked into Anna’s room and the first thing I do is open the curtains. However, Anna being a sleep deprived creature that craved sleep every single minute of the day, never really get woke up by little things like this. So, resorting to the one and only solution I reached out and searched underneath the covers until I lifted her pajama top up and I started tickling her.
Within five seconds, she jumped and screamed my name “Knight!!” just like every other day.
“What’s up, princess?” I smirked, pretending to play the oblivious card. “If you don’t get to the showers now, you will have to go to school with biscuit in your hair.”
“How many times do I have to tell you, you should not be touching me like that!”
“What do you mean? Like brothers and sisters? Best friends since birth? I am both of them. Plus, I know you don’t mean it. In fact, you love it when I do it.” Turning my back from Anna, I walked to the bathroom and laid out all the shower gel and stuff she would need.
Following me into the bathroom, Anna wrapped her arms around my waist from behind, giggling. “What makes you so sure?”
“Because you never ordered me to stop. All you said was I SHOULD NOT be tickling you, not I CAN NOT do it.” Grabbing Anna’s hand that was around me, I pulled her in front and let go, taking a step backwards reaching for the door knob. “You have ten minutes, my princess.” I pulled a smile and closed the door.
Anna is my best friend, my sister and my princess. I have been brought up as her shadow since forever. We went to the same school, did the same subjects and same after school activities. Well, on her part that is. All top of that, I had separate training in all Knight stuff since I was six. Both of us were educated and brought up in preparation to be the next heir and most important of all, for our purposes. Since it’s all a big secret, or some sick experiment… , we only have each other.
It has always been this way. For every princess, there had to be a knight.
Picking out a little blue one piece dress, I laid out the clothes on the bed and stepped outside of the room.
