Love at first sight
The streets in Dallas, Texas were empty, all but the street lights and stray dogs. Beau was just finishing up in his little country store. When a woman walked by his door and tripped and fell. He rushed out to help the lady. He asked the lady what her name was and she said that her name was Dixie. Beau said nice to meet you Dixie. She asked Beau his name and then said nice to meet you to Beau. As he handed her things to her there hands touch and from that moment on Dixie knew she had found her true love. Dixie took the things from Beau and begins to walk away again. Beau went back into his shop to lock the doors and leave. On the way home beau could not shake the feeling that he felt when their hands touched. Beau went home that night and went straight to bed he didn’t even eat supper. The next morning, which was a Saturday, Beau got dressed and went straight to his father’s house but, when he got there his father was drunk. He already started drinking that morning. When Beau realized this he went straight to his grandfather’s house and asked him for advice about his feelings towards Dixie. His grandfather said to ask Dixie to go to the Christmas ball. Beau walked quickly back to his house and took the mail from his mailbox and in it was a letter that read,” To Beau Trenton, you have been called upon to be drafted into WW2 you have two weeks to prepare your things, Chief of military posts.” Beau paused and for a second could feel the tears stinging the back of his eyes. Would he have enough time to express the love that he felt for Dixie? From then on he had a new determination to tell Dixie how he felt. He quickly ran inside shaved got dressed up brushed his teeth and hair and polished his shoes. As he neared town something welled inside of him and caused his heart to skip a beat, there was Dixie standing in front of the store pacing around nervously. He ran to grab her in his arms and they embraced each other expressing their feelings for one another and there they stood in a deeply loving new relationship together.
