Two different worlds ~A Marcel story~

Lyra Luna's birth

I heard screaming from downstairs. I ran downstairs and looked around the house. I found mom in the kitchen looking down. She looked at me with big eyes. Then, I realized that her water broke. I went upstairs and grabbed her things. When I came downstairs, she had her shoes on. I grabbed the keys. I put the stuff in the car before helping mom get in. As I drove to the hospital, I called Jerry and told him that I'm talking mom to the hospital. When we got there, I helped mom walk in.

"I need help. SHe is about to give birth." I said to a nurse.

She got a wheelchair. Mom sat down. Since Jerry wasn't there, I was going in with mom. Throughout it all, mom held onto my hand. Everytime the doctor told mom to push, mom would scream. I kept saying encouraging things to her. After a while, someone's cry filled the room. Mom was breathing heavily. I kissed her forehead smiling. 

'You did it, mom." I said.

The doctor came over and hands me Lyra Luna. I looked down at her, smiling. Mom sat up and I hand her Lyra. Mom had tears rolling down her face while grinning. I took a picture of them. The doctor took a picture of all three of us. As they take mom to another room, I carried Lyra. Her eyes were wide open and looking at me. I smiled at her. When we were in the room, I see mom was tired. 

"Get some rest. I'll watch over Lyra." I said. 

"You sure?" she asked.

"Yeah positive." I answered.

Mom fell asleep. I call dad.  We talked for an hour. I was whispering the entire time. Me and Marcel were texting each other. I didn't notice that mom was awake and looking at me. She was grinning at me. I looked up at her and smiled.

"So who you texting?" she asked.

"uhm, my friend Marcel." I answered.

"Your 'friend' Marcel." she said, putting quotation marks around friend.

"Yeah, my friend." I said, laughing.

"Show me a picture of him." mom said.

I laughed and walked over to her. She takes Lyra from me. I show her a few pictures of me and Marcel together and a few of him by himself. She smiled and awed at the pictures I showed her. I just grinned at her.

"He's adorable." she said.

"You think so?" I asked.

"Yeah, he is an adorable nerd." she said.

"Yeah, he is." I said.

Me and mom started to talk for a while about what has happened to me over there. Mom was shocked to find out what Sage did and the things that she said. I just shrugged and tried not to cry right in front of her.

"Hey, she's not worth it." Mom said.

"I know but she has been my longest friend." I said, holding back my tears.

"I know but think about it this way: You lost 1 friend but gained 6 best friends." she said.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I said, smiling slightly.

"Of course I am. I'm your mother." she said.

I started to laugh. Me and mom started to catch up on her life since I left. I was surprised to find out that Jerry was actually an abusive person. Me and mom made a plan to get the baby out of the country with me and mom. Hopefully dad agrees to this.
