All throughout European History i kept glancing over at the clock, probably every 30 seconds to be exact. My stomach was growling with hungry due to me not eating breakfast this morning, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on a sub sandwich at lunch.

Finally I heard the loud bell ringing in pmy ears and the whole classroom flooded out like a drain, and I took my time walking to the cafeteria, seeming though Lacey could catch up to me as she excited her class.

After about 10 minutes I grew worried, usually she met me over by the lockers by the gymnasium, and we'd walk to lunch together. This wasn't like her.

I pulled out my phone and dialed her number, only to hear a voicemail.

"Hey this is Lacey Speigalbeg, I'm busy right now so don't call me again. Thanks!"

I told myself not to be worried about it, she's probably just helping after class or something.

I made my way to the cafeteria trying to be careful of seeing Marcus, just in case he tries to attempt to trip me.

I arrive in the cafeteria along with many other students. We all file into a line in the lunch line, and I slid a tray along, choosing my food.

I take a deep breath. She was probably in a closet making out with her boyfriend or hooking up with some other random dude.

But the thing is, she never missed lunch. She called it 'the jungle', and that she was the woman tiger looking for someone to mate with, whatever that means.

Occasionally at this time we would sit at our usual lunch table with our two other friends, Daniel and Ariana, and she would point out boys in the cafeteria for me to date.

I usually declined all of her offers, focusing on my food instead.

And now that she wasn't here with me, I felt alone, and incapable of accomplishing anything that involved socializing.

Lacey was always my go to social friend, she usually spoke for me during conversations, or she told me what to say or do to not make myself look like a complete idiot.

I decided I would just keep my head down and go to our table to find out what was going on.

I found Daniel and Ariana sitting there, like I do everyday.

"Hey." I set my tray down and sit across from them.

"Hey Jenna," Ariana says to me, not even looking up from her phone.

"Have you guys seen Lacey? She never misses lunch," I say, popping a tator tot into my mouth.

"No, she didn't meet up with you after class?" Ariana says, finally looking up.

"Nope. Figured she'd be hooking up with lance right?" I suggest.

"I guess so-" Ariana starts to say, but Daniel cuts him off.

"Did Kyle ask you out yet?"

Daniel was gay. And when I say gay, I mean extremely gay.

He was one of my best friends, but sometimes he can get a little clingy and annoying. Whenever Ariana and Lacey drag me and Daniel to the mall, Daniel would always try to convince me to try on all of these outfits and clothes. And it's not like Lacey and Ariana do this as well, but Daniel would press until he made you buy it.

I give him a confused look and say "No, why?"

Then he whispers "Shh hottie at 2:00"
