Hi! My name is Leilani, I am 11 years old. Also, attending Westbrook Elementary for 5th grade. I'm actually really excited, and scared. I've been homeschooled my whole life, so I never really see kids my age. I don't know what to expect for public school, but I'm sure I'll make it through. Right now, I'm at home preparing my school uniform and backpack. It is 6:30.
Mom: Make sure you pack only 3 pencils.
Me: Okay. *nods*
Mom: Okay, I'll be downstairs making dinner, call me if you need me. *smiles*
Me: Okay, thanks. *smiles back*
Mom: *goes downstairs*
Me: Okay, now to get my checklist!
I checked off everything that was on the list that I had in my backpack, to make sure I didn't miss anything. For uniform, we had to wear really fancy clothing. Like, blazers and only black shoes.

I am done packing everything. Now all I have to do is...wait. I turned on my TV just because I didn't have anything else to do. The only thing that was on my mind right now was school, teachers, friends and more. How is it gonna be? Will everyone like me? I started to search up random public school things, and how to be.
"Own the school year" "Be yourself" "Be nice and kind" "Don't spread rumors and lies about people, you don't know." Well that seems pretty easy since, I am that kinda shy girl, everything will be perfectly fine, I hope.
Mom: *yells* Come down for dinner!
Me: Okay!
I saw my older 13 year old brother running ahead of me. His name is Zach. We get along pretty well, we don't fight or argue. Except he's a teen now, so it's kinda sleep, eat, tech life for him. I am at the dinner table. My mom made, rice, chicken, and green beans. My favorite mix. I ate pretty quickly until, I got full.

I am in my room now, getting ready to take a nice long shower for tomorrow. I wanna look good and fresh.

I am out the shower. Now, I have to brush my teeth, moisturize my body, brush my hair, put on deodorant, put on powder, spray on perfume, and put on my pajamas. After, I was done with all that, I decided to go to sleep, I didn't wanna be tired for tomorrow. It's gonna be a big day, and I'm ready. My first day of public school.
