Mom: Come on. Wake up, it's time for school.
Me: Oh yeah, I forgot.
Mom: *laughs*
Me: I'm excited mummy.
Mom: I'm sure you are. Now get ready, you don't wanna be late on you're first day!
Me: Haha. Okay.
Well, it's a new day. I'm not really that tired, since I slept early. I walked in my bathroom. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, did my hair, and put on my uniform. I was hungry, and my mom didn't make breakfast. So I just made toast with Nutella on top and a Milo milkshake.

I had to go to school at 7:45 so I am pretty much okay. All I need to do is..I don't know.

My mom told us that we have to go earlier since it's the first day. We drove all the way there, I see a bunch of kids, laughing, hugging, and more.
Mom: Alright, were here!
Me: Yay!
Zach: Ugh.
Mom: Come on Zach, be more positive.
Zach: How can I when I'm at school?
Mom: Okay. Just go guys *smiles* have a nice day, be good, and do not start trouble. *drives off*
I was inside the school, I saw girls by their lockers, chatting, also some, putting on makeup. My locker number was 134. I went to my locker, I think I was next to a boy. He had long hair.
Boy: Hi, are you new here?
Me: Uh yeah. You?
Boy: Nah, I've been here for 2 years.
Me: Oh okay. My name is Leilani.
Boy: My name is Blanket. Nice to meet you.
Me: Thanks.
Boy: Can I see your schedule?
Me: Sure.
I got a schedule for my classes. It tells me what time to go to them and what subject they are, and room numbers.
Blanket: Cool, we have reading and social studies together. *smiles*
Me: Oh nice. *smiles back*
Blanket: I'll be right back. Gotta go see my friend.
Me: Okay bye!
Blanket: *waves and walks off*
It is the first day, don't know where I stand anymore. Got my hands in my pockets, I'm staring down at the floor. When I walk through the halls will I fall flat on my face? Am I in over my head? Are people even gonna know my name? I need to give time, it's okay if I don't figure everything out over night. It's too late to turn back now gotta fight. I gotta be everything that I can I might fail, if that's the way it's gotta be I'll prove. There's more to me than what you'll see I'll live my life all on the first day.

Me: Oh hi.
Blanket: I love your hair.
Me: Thanks! *smiles*
Blanket: And you have a beautiful smile.
Me: Are you flirting with me?
Blanket: Maybe. What would you say if I was?
Me: Uh..woah. Um, I guess I would...
Blanket: Just kidding!
Me: Ha! Ya got me..*laughs*
Well, that was pretty awkward. He was in his locker getting out the things he needed for 1st period. So was I. I had math so, I got 2 pencils, 1 notebook, a calculator, and a binder.

!!Rinngggggggg!! The bell rung very loudly. Everyone starting rushing to their classes. My first class was Math. Great, cause I hate it.

Teacher: Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Bonistalli! I'm so glad everyone is here. So we can start off a great school year! Now, we can all start off by introducing ourselves! Who's first?
Me: *raises hand*
Teacher: Come right up!
Me: Hi, my name is Leilani. I'm from New York. This is my first time going to a public school and I'm really looking forward to connecting with people and making friends.
Teacher: Oh okay! Well guys please make her feel welcome because, this is her first time in public school.
