Durga started reciting, "Saurashtrate Somnathan cha Srishaile Mallikarjunam;
Ujjainya Mahakaalam-Omkaram-Mamleshwaram;
Paraliya Vaidyanath cha Dakinya Bhimashankaram;
Sethubandhe tu Ramesham Nagesham Daruka-vana;
Varanasiya tu Vishwa-Isham Triambakam Gautami-thate;
Himalaya tu Kedar Grushnesh cha Shivalaya;
Aytani Jyotirlingani Saa(n)ya Prathaha Pathenaar;
Saptjanamkrute Paap Smaranhe Vinshayati;
Aytasha Darshandev Pathakha Nave Thisthathi;
Karmakshayo Bhavstaya Yesya Tushto Maheshwara.""What are you saying?"
"I was reciting a shloka on twelve jyotirlingas, their position on the map of India. It roughly translates to-
Somanath in Saurashtra and Mallikarjunam in Sri-Sailam;
Mahakaal in Ujjain, Mamleshwar in Omkareshwar;
Vaidyanath in Chitaobhoomi, Jharkhand or Parali in Maharashtra and Bhimashakar in Dakinya;
Ramesham in Sethubandh, Nagesham in Daruka-Vana;
Vishwa-Isham in Varanasi, Triambakam at bank of the river Gautami;
Kedar in Himalayas and Grushnesh in Shivalaya;
One who recites these Jyotirlingas every evening and morning;
Is relieved of all sins committed in past seven lives;
One who visits these, gets all his wishes fulfilled;
And one's karma gets eliminated as Maheshwara gets satisfied to the worship.""You're a stupid lady! Do you have any idea what are you saying?"
Ramaiah glared at him. "How dare you talk to our Ma'am in raised voice?"
"Ramaiah, it's okay. Just get me that file in which we have map of the twelve jyotirlingas. By the time I will be explaining them about Fibonacci spiral," said Durga; her words were dipped in sarcasm. She continued, "In mathematics, specifically geometry, a Fibonacci spiral or golden spiral is a logarithmic spiral; it's growth factor is phi or approximately 3.412, also known as the golden ratio.
We all know that a two-dimensional plane consists of four quadrants. A golden spiral gets wider by a factor of phi for every quarter turn it makes. These spiral does occur in nature like spiral galaxies, phyllotaxies of leaves and corneal epithelial cells of mouse."
The delegates were looking at her without blinking their eyes. She saw Ramaiah coming with a file and the map on the top. She took the map from him and smiled. She placed it on the table. "You see gentlemen, the map is self-explanatory."
"Mr. Whatever-your-name-is don't ever try look down upon any country-"
The one who had spoken to Durga earlier, cleared his throat. "Mrs. Shetty- "
"My name is Mrs. Durga Rao Shetty. My name has both the surnames. It would be better if you would call me Durga, Sir."
"Okay, Durga, we have read an article on the website of your company about daivi astras. Is that the information you have got?"
"I am afraid, the purpose of the meeting was what to print in the encyclopedia of yours, isn't it? Regarding the daivi astras, that's the only information we have got."
"Who wrote that article?"
The delegate had clearly skipped her question and Ramaiah was already feeling suspicious. She replied, "My father wrote it-"
"I need to meet him."
She stood up. "Will you even let me speak? My father is in heaven. Tell me if you still wish to meet him. I am in a mood to murder someone."
The man who was getting desperate asked again, "What do you know about daivi astras? Please tell me."
This guy is literally begging! She took a deep breath. "I am telling you I don't have more information about it. Even if I had, why should I tell you? Are you guys here for talking about encyclopedia stuff? Tell me otherwise I will call the security. Or wait, I will thrash you all by myself. When I had nearly sent my ex-husband to coma then . . . "
The delegates started moving out. But the desperate one was staring at her. Though she was frightened, she didn't let it show on her face. No sooner did they leave than Durga let an audible sigh. Thank you, Devi Shakti those men didn't do anything. What would have security done when our security consists of a lanky watchman. So, meeting us through encyclopedia was not their motive. Why the hell was he so desperate to know about daivi astras?
She received a notification on the mobile. She clicked on it and it read-
'The earlier news about an island emerging from Arabian Sea was completely false. The island was excavated by ASI. Further details regarding the same will be updated soon.'
I must talk to Rudra about it when he comes. Rudra! His diary! I must read what is written in that.
