Chapter 27: Mama, I’m a Bitch.

“Do you still love me, even though I got pregnant, miscarried, got pregnant again, ratted you out to the cops, lied to you, cheated on you and got pregnant with twins and one of the babies has a genetic disorder that isn’t in fact Down syndrome?” Heather didn’t mean to let it all out at once but that’s what happened. The moment she opened her mouth the all of her worries poured out. Brian stood there stunned again. He knew she knew the answer to that.

“Why are you asking?” Brian questioned unsurely.

“I’m asking because I need to know if I can let you come home and be a family with us. I need to know if our love is worth salvaging.” Heather stammered on frightened, she was scared Brian would scoff at her and tell her to take a hike. Her worries made her move her eyes down to his upper chest. Instead of doing what she was worrying about, Brian’s hands gently caressed Heather’s cheeks and lifted her face up to look him directly in the eyes. He softly smiled down at her and stroked her cheekbone with his thumb.

“I loved you when you were blind, when you had your operation and I needed to take care of you, I loved you when the bandages came off and you saw me for the first time ever, I loved you when you told me I was going to be a dad, I loved you when you miscarried, I loved you when you got pregnant again and when you called the cops on me, I loved you everyday I was in prison, I loved you when you were a part time cripple and lied to me, I loved you when you told me I was going to be a dad again and when you confessed that you cheated. I’ve loved you everyday since the day reality slapped me in the face and told me I needed you in my life. I’m sorry for cheating on you three times, I’m sorry for being a terrible partner and a horrible father. Please, take me back?” Brian made a whole speech out of what he had to say. He couldn’t just say it in a few sentences, it was impossible. He needed to tell her everything.

His speech left Heather teary eyed. She didn’t hesitate; she knew exactly what she was going to say. But then she remembered something she told him, actions speak louder than words. Heather smiled shyly before rising up onto her tip toes until her lips were centimetres away from his. She slithered her arms around his neck before indulging in a passionate, romantic kiss. Brian didn’t see this coming but he wasn’t going to fight it, he’s missed the feeling of her lips on his. And like always, there was a spark between them, like they just shocked each other. Chemicals and hormones went crazy for each other. Brian and Heather’s passionate, innocent kiss deepened until it was practically foreplay. Heather pulled away and gasped for air while Brian was left breathless. Heather glanced at the clock on the wall quickly and smirked at Brian.

“Y’know Briana won’t be home for another two hours, that gives us plenty of time to go home and finish this.” Heather offered cheekily. Brian’s eye brow arched slightly.

“And who says I want to have sex?” Brian asked.

“Trust me; I know you want to have sex.” Heather replied sure of herself.

“How do you know?” Brian asked being cocky and smug. He was playing with her, seeing how far this would go before Heather dominated him and showed him she was the boss. Heather grinned widely.

“You haven’t had sex since our one night stand.” Brian was utterly stunned by the things she knew. How the hell did she know these things? It made him a little uncomfortable.

“How did you know that?” Brian exclaimed shocked. Heather smiled up at him and blushed lightly.

“Your biceps are bigger and you’re stressed out.” Brian nodded and chuckled lowly as he stared down at her, smiling.

“Okay, you got me there.” Brian stated as he pulled away from Heather with only one thing on his mind. Heather knew what he was thinking; at least she thought he did. Brian stepped past Heather and wandered over to the door of the classroom.
