Lady Death

33 10 4

Woke up with the rising sun
Picked up the well worn gun
Invisible wounds inflicted pain
Blood waiting to pour like rain

Thinking of the battles of the past
Time gradually slips from grasp
Tears choke, can barely talk
Stumbling by myself while trying to walk

Desires clear in my eye
Hoping that I'll surely die
On the ground I lay
Waiting for lady death to come today
