CHAPTER 3

I woke up feeling something poking me on the side of my face. When I saw that I had fallen asleep on the grown and a bunny was the thing poking me. I rose up from the ground slowly trying my hardest to not injure myself more.

I looked at my surroundings knowing very well that I would have to find a place to stay permanently. I knew I would need to learn to live on my own starting now.

I looked to the side trying to remember which way I had come thru. Then I looked the other way well now or never. I started making my way to see if i can make it to a civilization.

I needed to make a living as a human.

I ran as fast as my legs could take me at the max speed.

When I remembered that I could run faster I just needed to know how to call upon my vampire.

how? I had no clue

‘vampire? or what ever your name is’ I spoke inside my head maybe trying to speak to her

‘what?’ a voice spoke in my head shocking me, almost making me knock into a tree.

‘are you my  vampire?’ I asked the voiced a little bit shocked i could speak to her

‘yes my dear I am your vampire as your witch and conscience I help you thru what you may need if you wish you may say im like a mother to you, child’ she spoke kindly and modernly

‘will you help me now, run faster and to know who and what I’m capable of doing?’ I asked her

‘my child call me Mary and I will help you and explain but I must go for now when you are ready I shall explain and help’ as soon as she finished I felt myself running faster than I thought possible. After a while I raised my head to see If I could smell civilization.

I got nothing I focused my senses farther and caught sound civilization a few miles down the way i was going. I smiled at the thought of getting out of these woods and find a place to buy clean cloths to clean myself up. I ran for another 2 hours my legs were pounding from the constant running I was a few minutes away from the civilization.  I could practically smell every person their, they weren't that far i knew soon I would be able to rest. The good thing of me running away was that I remember to bring some money from working in the junkyard near the orphanage.

‘my child you must be careful in this place I sense wolfs amongst here they will not be pleased with a vampire in their territory’ Mary spoke softly into my head wolf? like were werewolves?

‘what do you mean wolfs? I asked her stopping in my tracks as to not bump into any trees

‘just that my dear werewolves live around here you need to make yourself smell human you need to drain your sent into yourself’ she told me

‘how?’ i asked curious on how to do this

‘simple ,child, you must think of yourself as human think you never had the powers or energy you have’ she told me

I imagined myself in the orphanage again facing a rejection from faster parents them telling ms McAllister that they wanted someone younger not me. I saw myself weak crying in my room. I felt myself human again, I felt weak, useless, and worst of all alone.

‘that's it you just masked your sent and child you aren’t alone you got me  and your no longer weak i mean what weak person can run thru four  towns for twenty miles non stop and definitely you are not useless you just don't know who you are.’ she told me with pride in her voice It felt like she was my mother not  my vampire
