Interesting Camp... Max x Reader

CHAPTER 1: WELCOME TO CAMP

"MAX! NEIL! NIKKI!" The happy camp runner David called as he skipped towards the three children.

"David? You seem oddly excited about something..." The tall kid with orange hair pointed out as he observed David.

"Yeah, Neil has a point." A girl with aqua hair in pigtails agreed. "You're acting as if you just got laid. Also, what does laid mean?"

"Well, Nikki and Neil! I have every reason to be excited! My neice, Y/n, finally agreed to come to camp here! You're going to have not 3, not 5, but 1 new camper!"

"Great..." the kid with caramel skin and a blue hoodie mumbled. "We're going to have another kid who's probably a loser here. And when she arrives, you're going to fucking stick her with me. And when I try to escape this piss-sokaed hell hole of a camp, she's gonna say "We can't do that. That's not right. You're breaking the rules!" I don't think I can handle a fucking kid like that!" The kid exclaimed as he put his small hands in his big pockets.

"Max... Watch your language." David warned. "And she won't be that bad!"

"Anyway, what's this kid's interest?" Max asked. David didn't quite understand what he ment. Max sighed.

"Fucking hell, David! I mean, its not hard to see. Every kid her has an interest! Neil's is Science, Nikki's is adventure, and mine is trying to get out of here!"

"Oh, that!" David smiled, tottaly ignoring what Max's interest was. "She's always saying that she doesn't really have an interest or a hobby. But she is-" David was cut off by the schoolbus pulling up to the camp. David screamed with excitement. All the campers gathered around the bus to meet you. The doors slowly opened. Everyone was on the edge of their seat. Then, a girl with blue jeans and a black sweater walked off the bus. She made it so the hood would couver her face.

"Wow... I was expecting her to be... Like David." Max said in awe. David pulled you into a hug and smiled.

"Y/n! I missed you!" He giggled as he held you close. You didn't respond. David walked with you over to Max, Nikki and Neil. "Everyone! Say hi to Y/n!"

"Hey..." All three of them said at the same time. You just waved.

"Um... David? What's her problem? Why doesn't she talk?" Neil asked.

"Oh, Y/n's rather shy. Even at home, she wears things that couver her face and she doesn't talk... But she's no different than us!" David smiled as he pat your shoulder. David turned your body to face his. "Now, Y/n. I want you to stay with Nikki, Neil and Max. Okay?" You nodded to what he said and wandered off with Max, Nikki and Neil. It was kind of awkward. They didn't want to ask you any questions because you wouldn't talk. But you couldn't ask them anything because you didn't talk. They also didn't know what you looked like, as your hood was still covering your face. But Neil broke the ice and came up with an idea.

"Hey! Why don't we ask Y/n 'Yes' or 'No' questions? She can nod or shake her head in response!" Neil suggested. Nikki nodded, Max shrugged, and you didn't move an inch.

"Okay... Um... Y/n! Do you have boobs?" Nikki asked. Max face palmed.

"Of course she has boobs, Nikki! She's a girl!" Max sighed. But Neil thought otherwise.

"Now, let's not start with gender steroytyping! She could be a boy with boobs, a girl with no boobs, or she could just be a really fat guy with boobs!" Neil pointed out. "You... Are a girl, right?" You nodded to Neil's question.

"Um... Let's see... Do you... Have any hobbies?" Max asked, trying to see if what David said earlier was correct. But, David was right. You shook your head 'No'.

"Are you smart?' Neil questioned. You shrugged.

"Wow... You're really boring..." Max scoffed as he rolled his eyes. You stuck up the middle finger at him. Nikki laughed, Neil gasped, and Max didn't move an inch.

"Y/n! There you are!" David smiled as he approached you. "It's time for bed, everyone!"

"Is she going to be in the same bunker as us?" Max questioned as he took his hands out of his pocket.

"Nope! She's going to be bunking with Space Kid, Neris, and Nerf!" David grinned. All three, Max, Nikki, and Neil's eyes widened.

"You're leaving the fucking new kid with NERF, THE BULLY?!?!" Max screamed.

"Not a smart idea, David!" Nikki warned.

"Who knows what Nerf'll do to her!" Neil groaned. Everyone looked at Neil. Neil's cheeks turned pink. "THAT WASN'T MEANT TO SOUND SEXUAL!"

"Well, I don't care what you kids say! I think Y/n and Nerf will get along just fine! In fact, they might even be best friends! Now, everyone head to their bunkers!" David exclaimed as he carried you to your new bunker. David opened the door to your bunker. He was faced with Nerris, who was practicing spells, Nerf, who was carving a knife out of wood, and Space Kid, who was fast asleep. David put you down into bed and tucked you in.

"Goodnight, everyone!" He smiled as he shut of the lights and closed the door.

"So, new kid! You wear your clothes to bed?" Nerris questioned as she started puting her equipment away. Nodded your head. But it was so dark, she probably didn't notice.

"Um... Okay? I guess we should be getting to bed now..." Nerf rolled his eyes as he rolled into bed. You put your headphones in so music would play while you slept and made sure your hoodie was still covering your face. Everyone curled under their blankets and feel asleep. Everyone was in their PJ's, but you didn't even bother to change. Everything was so peaceful. It was going to be awesome here. Well, at least that's what you thought... Until everything got really hot all of a sudden. You opened your eyes and silently gasped. Nerf lit your bed on fire. You looked around for Nerris and Space Kid. Once you found them, they were clearly as scared as you were. Nerris managed to get out though the window. She ran and got David. About 5 minutes later, you and Space kid were curled up in a corner. At this point, everyone was up. The fire was blocking the door. Nerf and Space Kid quickly managed to crawl through the window. Just as you were about to crawl through the window, it was too late. Fire was everywhere.

"What's taking David so long?" Nikki asked, standing outside of the bunker that was on fire.

"He's probably getting his "Fire Gear" on" Neil teased, causing Nikki to chuckle.

"But if he takes any longer, she's going to fucking BURN TO DEATH!" Max shouted. Max looked at all the campers. He then sighed. "Well... If anyone's gonna do the fucking right thing, I guess it's gonna have to fucking be me." Max quickly ran into the bunker that was on fire. He saw you on the ground, surrounded but falling pieces of wood. He ran through the fire, managed to grab you by the arm, and pulled out of the bunker before it fell to the ground. Everyone gasped, then cheered. David quickly ran over, covered in fire-proof stuff. He then tackled you into a hug.

"OH MY GOODNESS! Y/N! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!" He cried in relief. You hugged back and sniffed. David pulled away from the hug and clicked his tongue. "Oh dear. Where is she going to sleep now?" David and Max's eyes met for half a second. "Maaaaaaaax? is it okay if you and Y/n share a bed? Just for a couple of nights?" David asked. Max sighed. As much as he didn't want to, it was the right thing to do.
