I waited by your side until you spoke. It may have taken a few minutes for you to find your voice again after all the screaming but that only gave me more time to appreciate your perfection. "Baekhyun," you croaked softly, look at me. I hummed in return and you shook your head. "Never mind." I reached out to place my hand gently atop yours and rubbed soft circles onto it with my thumb. We stayed like that, just breathing for a while until you took my hand in yours. "Thank you Baekhyun," you whispered to me. You don't know how happy I was to here those words come out of your mouth. It only added to how much I loved you. "You're welcome." And then you smiled at me again. It may sound cliche sweetheart but I swear on my life that one smile made my whole day brighter. Your breath seemed to slow down a little and grew steadier as the next five minutes passed. I shifted a little to look up at you and I couldn't help the smile that split my face when I saw the beautiful sight in front of me. You lay on your bed with your hands still in the same position and your eyes were closed, eyelashes resting against your cheeks. You looked so peaceful and I stood up, untangling my hands from yours afraid to wake you. I leaned down to press a soft kiss to your forehead before I lifted you a little to move you as far as you could. And then I crawled into the bed with you although I was hesitant to but I guess it helped my situation, didn't it? I slung my arm around your body in means of keeping you warm, I swear. And then, I found myself drifting off to the sound of your soothing heartbeat.
