The next day, I sat beside you as you lay asleep. It took nearly a half hour for you to wake up and realize that I was there but I didn't mind. I told you to that we were going to go on a little adventure and I remember how scared you looked. I had helped you into a wheelchair, with restraints courtesy of the other doctors. I'm sorry, by the way, for letting you get on that horrid thing but you had looked so scared and everyone feared the worst. I wheeled you around for hours as we talked about little nothings. You told me how you hated when the doctors fed you bitter bits of food with medicine in it to make you fall asleep faster and how you hated screaming for hours. You told me that you wished you could change but that you couldn't. And that was when I promised you that I would help you get better. Well, better than you already were. And you smiled at me, you really did. You don't know how happy I was to see such a beautiful smile light up your face. Do you remember when you asked me to stop under a cherry blossom tree because you thought it was beautiful? And I guess I had seen that tree so many times that I never thought it to be beautiful but somehow, it looked so beautiful for once. Maybe it was because you were there with me but you know, I can't really remember what it actually was but I agreed with you anyway. You stared at that tree for so long and I just stood behind you. And that's when I reached up to pluck a pink blossom from its stem and moved to stand in front of you. You looked up at me sweetly, and I swear right then and there, I forgot you were an 'incurable' patient. I kneeled in front of you and slowly placed the blossom over your ear. "Baekhyun, it's time to bring her back in."
