This isn't a philosophy lecture on some stupid subject or whatever, Depression is a real struggle people deal with on a daily basis, this does not make them weak nor pathetic, at some point in everybody's life people deal with their own demons. It is in the eye of the beholder what they choose to do with the things those demons tell them, the lies, deception, the intentions these demons try to pursue upon the innocent victim. Some people self harm, some distance themselves from loved ones, family, and friends. Some people stop eating, others harm different people. All of these are coping mechanisms to deal with depression.
Today I learned it's okay to cry if you need to, let your feelings out. Crying isn't a sign of weakness, it's healing and cleansing for your soul and mind. It allows you to release whatever emotion that you're feeling. If you need to be alone that's okay too, sometimes you just need your space and that's your time to feel however. Sometimes you push the people who are trying to figure out what to do, simply because you don't want to hurt them but they don't know why you do this, sometimes they don't understand, but that's okay. It's okay to have bad days, we all do, it's not your fault, it happens! It's going to be alright! There are options for anyone out there.
I'm not really a fan of pharmaceuticals, but if you wish to try that is your choice and you should have the right to do so. I personally prefer talking to a therapist and do so on a weekly basis. Anything you prefer wether it be anti-depressants, Therapy, meditation, reading, writing, coloring, drawing, music, extra curricular activities, or ANYTHING that helps you through tough times, you should be able to access them.
I try my best to get through every minute of the day, every day in the week etc. I'm not perfect either, but then again who is? It's ok to be you because you are perfect in your own way and that's what makes you unique! I know it's hard but don't give up the fight! You got this reader-chan!
