In makaylas bedroom
"I still can't get over it Renee" I said
"I know that movie was really good"
"NOT THAT! Zach!"
"I know I'm just kidding" Renee replied.
"He was so cute and when I looked into his big chocolatey brown eyes I felt a connection"
"Girl he WANTED you. I could tell. I'm an expert." Renee said. I laughed.
*BZZZZT* my phone vibrated.
I looked at the screen not even thinking and then I froze.
Zach: heyyy! It's Zach. Movie boy.
I read the text out loud
I didn't know what to reply. I've never felt like this before. I got extremely happy and I couldn't think of anything else except for his body and his laugh and his eyes.
"Why the fuck are you just staring makayla? He WANTS YOU" Renee yelled at me.
"I...I...I don't know what to say I'm scared and I can't think I might be dying do you want to just go downs-"
"MAKAYLA! Stop! He wants you and I know you want him so just say hi back or something"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SAY HI OR SOMETHING!?" I yell raising my voice a little too high.
"He's waiting..." Renee says pointing her eyes towards my phone.
I grab the phone, type in my passcode, and go to messages.
Makayla: who?
"Why the fuck would you say that? It makes you sound like a bitch!" Renee said sounding concerned
"Trust me it's fine" I said back.
Zach: hahaha very funny! Are you free Saturday?
My heart stops for what seemed like too long. I felt butterflies again. Not 2 not 3 more like thousands trying to escape my stomach.
Makayla: hmm idk let me check
"Girl wtf you sit on your ass all day! What do you mean let me check?"
"I wanted to sound cool" I say. We both laugh.
Makayla: ugh sorry I have to walk my elephant that day...
Zach: how about I pick you up at 8?
Makayla: perfect.
I give him my address and turn off my phone. I slam my head against my pillow and close my eyes with a huge smile on my face.
"You're smooth. Real smooth." Renee says laughing.
