We want our members to feel inspired by the comments other members leave them. The problem is, some users have no idea what to look for when they read a story, so leaving a constructive comment can seem like a serious challenge.

Here are some guidelines to use when writing your comment.

Please be sure to include all of this in your feedback.

Be considerate dont be rude, rude comments will be deleted.

Always start a comment with a good point, something you like about the story.

Opening sentence/ Paragraph - Is it a good place to start the story? Does it make a reader want to keep reading?

Introduction to the main character - consider the first time you meet and the impression you get from the encounter.

The end of the chapter – What makes you want to read the next chapter? Are there any questions or scenes that feel incomplete? Does the chapter feel finished? Is it a good place to leave a reader hanging?

Second chapter opener – (may seem like a stupid question, but) does it follow on from the first chapter?

Overall Spelling, grammar, punctuation – Did you notice any mistakes? Did it affect your enjoyment?
