Panem High (Hunger Games FanFic)

Ok sooooo this is my first story and well I SUCK at writing but one of my followers (you know who you are) told me I should write so thank you and let the story begin....

BEEP BEEP BEEP !!!!

Ugh stupid alarm clock, "Shut Up!"
Well hi my name is Katniss Everdeen I'm 15 years old and today is my first day of highschool. My parents (well mom and step father) had to move to California because of my stepfather's new job... So I have to go to a new school yyyayyyyy (note the sarcasm). I hate being the 'new girl', I was never any popular at my old school, which meant I would eat in the bathroom everyday...

Well I just finished taking a shower so I should probably brush my hair, hmmm I guess I should try to look good today. So I throw on a crop top, skinny jeans, Doc Martins, and to complete it my olive colored utility jacket and for my hair I just put it in light curls cascading down my back.

"Katniss, breakfast is ready" says my mom. "Ok I'm coming." Once I'm there the sweet aroma of eggs and bacon fill my nose. "Hey little duck" yea I know it's kinda wierd to call your sister a duck, but I do it anyways because when she was little she would never tuck the back if her shirt into her skirt. "Hi Katniss." Prim replies

Well to tell you about my family, first there's Prim my adorable 12 year old sister who is entering 7th grade this year, then there's my mother, and my stepdad, Plutarch Heavensby. I know your probably asking where my real dad is, ummm you see he died when I was eight. He was hit by drunk driver and was instantly killed. "Are you okay Katniss ?" says Plutarch. I didn't even know that tears were streaming down my cheeks. "Yeah I'm fine, I was just thinking about...him."

"Sweetie it's ok, you have us and we love you very much." my mother butts in. I put an obvious fake smile on and continue eating my food. "Do you want me to drive you to school?" says Plutarch. "No, I can walk the school is only 5 minutes away". I reply

Once I'm done eating I tell Prim to finish. When she finishes we are at the front door saying but to Plutarch and my mom. You can say that we have a somewhat big house, it's because of my filthy rich stepdad. Before he came by we were starving everyday which lead me to hunt illegally because after my dad died my mother went into deep depression. One night she to went to a party and them Bam !!! I have a stepdad....

First I have to drop Prim off at her middle school which is right next to the high school. "Bye Prim, have a great day at school" I say while kissing the top if her head. "You too Kat, I love you." Prim says while entering her school
Now I really start to worry, what if they don't like me or bully me or hate me ?!? I get so lost in thinking that I bump into someone so hard I made their books fall.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry" I say as I am met with a pair if perfect blue eyes that I instantly get lost in. "No it was my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going." Says the most handsome guy I have ever seen. As I help him pick up his stuff he says "Are you new here?" "Yes" I reply. " Do you want time to show you to the office so you can get your schedule and books?" "Yeah sure" I say while blushing. wow what is this boy doing to me....

Welllllllll yea so this is the first chapter and I hope you enjoyed it and yes I know it was awful but please bear with me as we go through this together....
