Once I walk into the office, I am met with an oddly pink lady. I read her name tag and it says Effie Trinket. "hello sweetie how may help you?" Effie says in her weird accent. "uhh I'm new here, my name's Katniss Everdeen." I reply

"Well here is your schedule and books, have a nice day!" Says Effie as I nod in return. Now, I can finally see my schedule... hmmm is looks like I have

Lunch

Music: Miss: Trinket

English : Ms. Mags

History: Ms. Mags

I guess my schedule isn't as bad as I thought. After I walk out if the office I see the boy standing there leaning against the wall waiting for me. As he sees me walk out his eyes light up.

Ugh, why does he have to be so cute... WAIT WHAT !!! No no no no no!!! I can't like him. I mean I could, but I just met him and I don't even know his name and he doesn't know mine.

"Thanks again for walking me to the office-" I say "Oh my name's Peeta Mellark." he says "And I'm Katniss Everdeen". And with that we leave to class.

Peeta POV

Right now I'm waiting outside for the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I never got her name, but I guess I'll just wait because she has to tell me her name now or later.

I see her walking out of the office. she is so gorgeous with her big grey eyes, her perfect brown hair, and that beautiful smile that I could just die for. "Thanks again for walking me to the office...." she says. "Oh my name is Peeta Mellark" I reply "And my name is Katniss Everdeen"

Hmmm Katniss even her name is beautiful. I decide to ask her what her schedule is, and just my luck we have all the same classes together. I think my smile just got bigger if that's even possible. There is just something about this girl that drives me crazy and I don't know what it is..

Katniss POV

The day goes by pretty fast since Peeta is in all of my classes. So now it's time for lunch, oh no I'll be the loner again. I start to make my way to bathroom with my tray of food in my hands, but I hear someone calling my name. I turn around and I see Peeta calling me and telling me to sit with him.

I nod and make my way towards his table. Once I get there I see that there is a red headed girl with green eyes, and somewhat attractive but not my type boy sitting next to her, a girl with brown hair sitting next to a guy with ashy blond hair and icy blue eyes... not like Peeta's, a girl with long black hair, and a guy that sorta looks like me with his brown hair and great eyes .

Peeta sees me staring at what I'm pretty sure are his friends and introduces me to them. "That's Annie, Finnick, Clove, Cato, Johanna, and Gale." I smile. they all look pretty nice but not Johanna, she looks like a badass, I like her already. "hi what's your name?" says Annie "I'm Katniss" I reply

I end up talking to them and telling them about myself and it turns out, they are really nice and popular, I also learned that they are called the victors, and their rivals are the careers. I can tell that this is going to be a fun year.

After lunch I get to go to music which all of us victors have together, it's also my favorite class. I walk into class with Annie and we end up sitting together. "Welcome welcome, today everyone will be singing a solo, I will give you 10 minutes to get practice and after that the show will begin." Says Effie in her crazy Capitol accent.

I think to my self what should I sing??? Ah... I know what I'll sing. After 10 minutes of practicing we sit back down and Effie goes up to the front if the room to what I think is a huge fish bowl. She twirls her hand around in the bowl and pick up a piece of paper. She clears her throat and says "Katniss Everdeen" I start to walk up and see Annie and the rest of the group give me a reassuring smile. I step up to the microphone and sing

Once I finish singing I notice that my eyes were looking straight at Peetas for the whole song. Everyone is silent "was I that bad?" I ask and right after I ask the whole room fills with applause.

I walk back down to my seat next to Annie and Peeta. When I sit down Peeta says "you were amazing up there." "thank you" I reply. The rest of the day goes by like a breeze. And that night I go to bed thinking of all my new friends, but mostly about Peeta.....
